Lads Pajo Flynn Retired tonight after Longford's last game, the man is a legend, and I'm sure nobody will begrudge us wishing the lad well in his league of Ireland swan song, He played for Waterford, Rovers, Pats, Shels, and Longford, (if I missed anyone i'm sorry)
The Chap is a gentleman off the pitch, and a nutter on it, I wish him well in his future challenges, (once the studs aren't up)

Cracking addition on his wikipedia page

Flynn retired from professional football in October 2016. He then moved on to play for his beloved Crumlin United in the Leinster Senior League, until both his hips finally gave in after 12 games.
Flynn now oversee's the Crumlin United kids academy, where he has been given the title of "Aggression Coach". His main role here includes teaching the kids how to master the art of a good 50/50 tackle. No Bohemian's supporters or their kids are allowed train with the academy for obvious reasons.

Pat played at right full for us during the 2006 season if I remember correctly. He was a fans favourite during his time here. I think I speak for all the fans at the R.S.C. when I say, enjoy your retirement Pat.

Padjoe was a legend for us. he didnt play as much this season or tweet as much but I would like to wish the best of luck in what he does! his first season for us in 14 was the best in his short spell with us and was the reason we got promoted that season.

The goal he will be remembered for. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbMWQXmMkyw)

Why will he be remembered for someone else's goal?

For me his finest moment was against Bohs in Aug 2008 (3 days after Rovers had played Juve away) . Hoops were one nil up then Pat in a 'Fr Ted Bishop Brennan' moment unprovoked kicked a Bozo literally up the arse and got a straight red card. Rovers fans feared we'd struggle to hang on but in fact Pat's tactical genius galvanised us and we went on to win 3-0... that was the moment when we knew the power had shifted from them to us and we went on to win the league ... a great player with the right attitude and also a genuine character/ legend , he'll be missed

He's great entertainment. I reckon even Bohs fans may have a grudging respect for him. He should write a book.

Huh? Bohs won the league in 2008. It was their "invincible" year. They won it again in 2009. Rovers won the league in 2010 and 2011.

It was 2010. Presume Calcio Jack just got the year wrong.

His memory of the game is decent but not remembering what year it was (in a league winning season) is fairly bad. Sure they weren't even in Tallaght in 2008!!
