Rosenberg stood off Dundalk for the 1st half, and only scored because of schoolboy defending by Dundalk. They were very very comfortable in the 2nd half, as Dundalk offered nothing. Dundalk may surprise them by scoring next week, but I don't believe it will affect the outcome of this tie.
Rovers & Cork to also get a score draw tonight.
Gracious as ever Placid, it really does stick in your craw when it isnt Rovers leading the line for the league. Not so shabby a result at all considering your observations!

Caulfield doing his best Tom impression there. The Larnaca manager must be thinking he's on day release 😂

Its been only bit of entertainment in this dreadful half. Cork look fitter and stronger and I expect them to pull away in the second half.

I actually enjoyed that! Well the defending part by Cork, McCormack is excellent in defence, and Larnica really will have to pull off something special to score.
Throw on Sadlier, that will shake them up, as O'Connor is doing nothing on the wing.
Think Cork could sneak a late goal.

Unlucky to be a goal down had two decent chances. Nothing in it so far.

Just as well Sligo didn't get to play Ferencvaros.

2 things cost LOI teams in Europe. Not being clinical enough when you get a chance. Switching off in defence for a moment or two.
Some bird called Joan scores against Cork... surely that signals that start of a 16 match losing streak?

It's really disappointing to see rubbish defending at set pieces. Two crap goals given away last night and tonight in Cork.

Fella sent off for Ferencvaros just before half time. Midtylland have gotten two penalties (including one for the red card)
Can't see the manager being too happy!

That's a poor result for Cork. Massive ask to go out to Cyprus and beat them out there.

Ah well, would have been good to hold out for the draw, but a Cypriot team are always going to be tough to beat. I really dont think Cork could have done a whole lot more, but they are still in the tie...

Ref was brutal.
Cork are not as good as dundalk in Europe. Not as savvy or street smart. They took these little short passes and never made their man when in ideal situations.
3 teams out of Europe now. Not great.
What's good to see at least now is the speed, athleticism, fitness and physicality is no longer missing and therefore ye dont see 3 or 4 0s anymore.

A Cypriot team in pre-season? Cork were way below par tonight. They created hardly anything. The Larnacha keeper had little to do.
If the real Cork turns up next week, they are still in with a good chance.

Rovers 3-1 down now.
Cork's result is more than poor; it's worrying for the league.
A touch of "I wasn't at it but..."-itis about this, but the team walking away with the title - and deservedly so - have struggled to do much against a 10-man Estonian side (albeit that they were unbeaten all season) and then nearly threw the game away at home. And now they've gone down to a Cypriot team in pre-season, albeit again that the Cypriot league is solid enough.
But if that's what the dominant force in the league at the moment can do, it doesn't say much about the rest of the league.

This is not Dundalk with Horgan, you really are expecting a LOI team to be beating a Cypriot team? I dont. Even if they are still in pre season. What could have Cork dont differently that might have changed things? 4-4-2, all out? I dont know.

Following the game on UEFA and ET. I'd say Rovers will be a bit ****ed to concede 3 in that one. Looks like they had a lot of chances too.

Do you not think that Cork can play much better? I thought it was a flat performance. Its not that the tactics were wrong or Cork were set up poorly.
Larnacha were gifted a goal, they didn't show any signs of opening Cork up.
Cork can turn this around.

Can easily see us getting into this over there. They were good and took their chances we were very wasteful

A few Cork players going forward were rubbish for sure, and yes the tactics worked in the first half but thats pretty much the same as last season against Genk at home. Its a step up in level, and drop your concentration for one moment and your done for, cheesy i know but how many times have we seen it with LOI teams. Id say the Cork guys tonight were more tired than the Larnica guys which would say a lot, eh?
Yes Cork are still in it, and fingers crossed. But I think the LOI teams got tough draws this year

Aberdeen held at home. Though in fairness to them, they tend to do ok in Europe in comparison to other teams in that League not named Celtic.
