please note end

It's simple... We're not taking the points of our relegation rivals.....

If we consider the bottom six, and the points they've won of each other and consider the points differance between those and Longford, during the campaign.

UCD have taken six of Longford and Monaghan and Five of Dundalk.

Bray have taken six points of Dundalk and Galway and four each of UCD and Monaghan.

Longford have fluffed all round them and four points against Monaghan represents their greatest conquest.

Dundalk are worse than Longford but only fractionally. the four they earned of Galway being the easiest of their pickings.

The total amonut of points gained at the expense of the bottom six teams stands at....

UCD 18
Bray 17
Longford 13
Dundalk 11

The ratio of points earned using the above criteria against total points stands at:

UCD 56%
Bray 54%
Longford 45%
Dundalk 43%

This includes games played last weekend.

The points difference (From an LTFC point of view) stands at:
UCD +2
Bray +1 (CCFC game in hand)
and Dundalk -6

Games remaining between bottom six sides.....

Bray
Longford Town (H)
Dundalk (H)
Monaghan (A)
UCD (A)
Galway (A)
UCD
Monaghan (A)
Galway (H)
Bray (H)
Longford Town
Dundalk (H)
Bray (A)
Monaghan (A)
Galway (A)
Dundalk
Galway (A)
Longford (A)
Bray (A)
Monaghan (A)
With all this in mind.... Do you think the LTFC can avoid the drop

Boredom will be my end.....

I think (and hope) ye'll stay up, but it will probably be through the play-offs

Playoffs i reckon, our only saving grace is that the teams below us are losing too. I really hope not, but i think we'll remain in the play off spot, but i think we'll stay up ultimately. A lot depends on how the 2 Gills lads settle in.

Ok...

Somebody was top of their statistics class but Xlex ease up, you have me all confus-ted!

I don't know what choice to make but I do think the Town need to get their act together and well, the play-off position could soon become reality!

If ye beat Dundalk at home should seal Dundalks fate, lose that one & ye in serious trouble.

btw anoraks are never appreciated in their own lifetime.

Cork lost to Longford, Dundalk and U.C.D.... you drew with UCD and Bray.... what's that 13 points dropped....

If ye were fcuking title contenders you would have gotten over the bad start and bet those wanl<ers Dundalk and UCD and we wouldn't be so concerned with LTFC's poor league position.....

so fcuk you Cork...... friends of the town no more.... ;)

BTW Bray haven't bet a top six side..... apart from Rovers..

Yeah we can't beat the lowly teams, sure didn't we hand ye 4 points out of 6. ;)

Top team is a different story"
shels - win & lose
pats - 2 wins
rovers - 2 wins
derry - win & lose

As opposed to
home defeat to dundalk
draw away to Maonaghan
ucd - 1 point from 6

For the LTFC;

shels - Win and loss
pats - draw and loss
