The Servette midfielder was forced to have his left ring finger amputated after a goal celebration went horribly wrong. The recently-married 29-year old jumped up on the perimeter fence in celebration after setting up his teams third goal in a 4-1 win at Schaffhausen. But he failed to notice that his wedding ring was caught in the metal barrier and severed the top two joints of the finger as he jumped back down. To add insult to injury, Diogo was shown a yellow card for his excessive celebration.
