The funny thing is I think molumby is a real traditional Waterford name

South-West Cork according to this (https://www.irishgathering.ie/clan_info.asp?clanID=1617) but we'll await confirmation from Irwin3.

Nearer Waterford than west Africa!

Josh Barrett injured according to a post on YBIG

Not having a pop off anyone but that tweet could be about absolutely anything. Doesn't mean he's going against the will of his Irish parents by playing for England. I guess it's showing the post-JG paranoia that's struck. Probably reenforced by Michael Keane's England debut.

I think it's highly unlikely that someone so connected to Ireland (both parents) would defect. I mean we do have precedent but it's still highly unlikely. Are there rumblings Ole Ole that this may be on the cards?

Not this tweet from March 16th is it?

That tweet has a muscle and laughing emoji. There is no way its related to that. It's not a serious tweet.

Liamoo got a bit carried away on the previous page of this thread.

Belgium 1-1 Italy

We need an Italian favour and a victory against Belgium to top the group.

Shouldn't Sweden be on seven points on that 'as things stand' table?

Lost to Belgium, beat Ireland, were level with Italy at the time.
It's now
Sweden 6
Ireland 6
Belgium 4
Italy 1

Sweden set to go through on head to head. We need Italy to score

All over, Sweden top the group, unluck lads.

2 wins against Italy and Belgium is a good result missing talented lads like Ronan and Barrett who have played first team championship football

Someone said on twitter the Swedish CB Thomas Isherwood is also eligible for us, anyone know if this is legit?

His full name is Thomas Mattias Poppler Isherwood. So that doesn't hold me much hope. Plus he was born in Sweden. And is a Evil Empire Youth Player.
He's with the same agency as Harry Arter, Chris Smalling and Matt Doherty.

Time for Tets to work his Twitter magic...

18s squad. nice to see ayoola back missed most of season with injury. Dual players Flanagan and scully in which is nice they still committed. Obafemi is interesting he is an under 17 but hasn't Been able to make the qualifying squads guess we r for once strong up front . The other Irish striker at southampton also cant make that 17s

Ayoola scored the winner against Turkey today, putting Ireland into the 3rd/4th place play off against Slovakia tomorrow.

Good headline (http://www.fai.ie/ireland/match/55505/2017/999943488?tab=report) though, Crawford delight ....

Plaudits to the FAI who have finely honed their kidnapping techniques and with such flair for the dramatic heist.

All Nigeria soccer (http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22776)
The winger or striker was born in Dublin to Nigerian parents before relocating to the English capital.
England had been in pole position for Okoflex, handing him a debut at U15 level, before he was snatched from under their noses by the Republic of Ireland.

I predict shock call-ups to the senior team to play Austria for Osadebe, Ayoola, Shodipo, Okoflex, Obafemi, Afolabi, Sobawale and Bernard Ibirogba (https://www.balls.ie/athletics/bernard-ibirogba-358921 - apparently he's also a prolific goalscorer, telling Ray Darcy he's lost count of how many goals he's scored: https://player.fm/series/rt-the-ray-darcy-show/meet-the-irish-usain-bolt)
