Take from another thread on foot.ie ;)

There is a good bit of info on recent planning applications for Turners Cross. They can be found on the City council website. The results of the first two can also be found within each link.

1. Roof The St.Annes End (http://planning.corkcity.ie/InternetEnquiry/rpt_ViewApplicDetails.asp?validFileNum=1&app_num_file=0226659)
2. Redevelopment of the Shed (http://planning.corkcity.ie/InternetEnquiry/rpt_ViewApplicDetails.asp?validFileNum=1&app_num_file=0226660)
3. Retention of change of location of Floodlighting Masts (http://planning.corkcity.ie/InternetEnquiry/rpt_ViewApplicDetails.asp?validFileNum=1&app_num_file=0429114)

So they have permission for the redevelopment of both ends of the ground since 2003.

Presumably they're waiting on grant aid to pay for the work.

How long does planning permission last before you have to do the work? Is it 5 years?

no harm to put a roof on st.annes end...even though it shouldnt,it cuts attendances on cold rainy nights

Pity the Derrynane is so limited in space but if MFA/City were to complete those developments would be best value for money ground in the league at a fraction of what Tallaght needs to complete one side of the ground.

Sorry to steal your thunder lads, but the Club will be making a big announcment with this particular regard within the next month or so.

Thats all I'll say. Everything is hush hush down here.

steal our thunder? if you're moving to a new ground, or developing the RSC, good luck with it. It might save city fans from having to split up cos there's not enough room in your tiny little stand for all of us in future.

Waterford should do likewise!

good to see in the planning application, the remouval of the old dressing rooms. that building is an eye sore.
so its going across the whole pitch then, the new stand. thats great.

With all due respect, the Waaaaaaahhhuurrfffuurrr fans bring it on themselves, always taking the **** out of Dolan.
Just 'cause they'll never have our fan base or facilities.
God it's great to be envied.
