There's more in today's Star about the rumours surrounding Pat Dolan.

This is the article:

"Pat Dolan met with Cork City chairman Brian Lennox and managing director Paddy Gilley last night amid mounting speculation over his future with the Leesiders. Dolan has been linked with a shock move to Munster rivals Limerick. And according to sources in the Southwest, the chances of a reunion with Noel O’Connor are on the rise.
The Cork squad returns to pre-season training this morning – not at U.L. as was planned but at the Farm. Limerick meanwhile will train next season at U.L. The lack of training facilities had been the subject of complaints by Dolan during the close season.
Aside from O’Connor, Dolan has lost several more members of his back-room staff – including fitness coach Dave Mahedy. He has also been linked with Limerick. Spokesmen at the ambitious First Division club would not comment on the Dolan rumours last night.
Consortium leader Danny Drew has ploughed significant funds into the club already and has given Manager O’Connor a big budget for players. Already signed up is former Cork City ‘keeper Noel Mooney."

"linked" ....by the Star again...
"on the rise"...according to the Star only

I'll say one thing for the new Limerick backers....they must have an excellent PR person to get this kind of publicity over absolutetely nothing....

To be honest I think Dolan himself is playing the media drum on this one. Something to the effect of 'If you don't give me what I want I'm off...'

Personally I can't see a place for him at Limerick, I doubt NOC will want to relinquish the reins of power so soon after taking control and as Dolan's ego is his biggest feature (saying a lot there) I can't see him settling for a number 2 position either.

However we shall see.
