I think the draw is a good one for my beloved City. I think City have a great chance of getting into the final. The most important thing is that they win their home games and hope results around go there way. I'd say City vs Longford Final. :) I'd love it.

Great draw I reckon, management, directors and captain professed themselves happy enough so that'll do me, we're going to be really up for this one, the northern teams are already quite confident of beating us without much bother but I've a feeling we'll show them a thing or two..if you get decent odds we're well worth a punt, an EL journalist who's seen Linfield and Glentoran this season reckons our new and improved squad has the beating of them and he says he'll putting a few quid on us for glory..should be interesting!

What kind of support do you reckon you'll bring to Belfast? What's your average home gate? I'm looking forward to it. Linfield v Shelbourne final

that is a fantastic draw playing the Nordie teams!!! Half a mind to come over for the occasion seeing as I might be home for Paddy's Day... hearing Belfast is a gas city to go out in... :)

General,
Our average home gate is around 1,500, depending on opposition and occasion.
Our travelling support is among the best in the eircom league. Some may be sceptical about travelling to Belfast, but I hope they do make the effort.
It should be a fantastic occasion. As Longfordian said, travelling on a bus would be the best method. I'll definitely go, work-permitting.
How many would you think will come down to Longford?

according to the mirror today a linfield star paul mcshane and glentorans scott young were interviewes. according to mcshane "i dont know anything about longford at this stage but our manager is very thorough and im sure he will do his homework on this."
bazza is delighted with the draw as he reckons he wont get any abuse!
great photo of matthes with paul mcshane and scott young in the mirror!
off to the bookies at the weekend to place my bets!

i have to say that i think it is a great draw as we have stayed away from EL clubs and we have played Portadown.I think everyone is under estimating the quality of the teams from the North and they will be no easy pushover.Looking forward to making the long haul to the Oval & to Windsor pk.I'm sure there will be a few little knob heads about shouting the odds but i think in general the games will be great occassions and hopefully people's ignorance of the North and it's folks won't stop them from going to the match and everyone appreciates it for the ocassion it is.The decency is already showing from our friends over the border with the post by Stanley Chan and i only hope that we can do the same in return and show the club for the community club that it is.

I see at www.irishleagueforums.net that linfield are only selling ticket to members and season ticket holders for the game at the flansiro. This is going to p1ss fans off. Imagine this senario I dont have a season ticket for Cork City but have travelled to europe and seldom miss a home or away game and to be told i could'nt get a ticket for a game up north.
I dont think so!
