Preview - BRAY WANDERERS manager Pat Devlin has plenty of sweating to do before his side swing into action against Cork City at the Carlisle Grounds (7:45).

There's been nothing between the sides so far this season, with both games played ending in draws, but Bray could be hit with several key defections before the match.

Eddie Gormley is struggling to shrug off a back strain, while Davy Williamson has a stomach muscle problem and Wes Charles remains sidelined with a thigh strain. Thomas Morgan is also out with a facial injury.

Devlin knows that his side, which has been known to yo-yo between the two divisions in the past, must go up a few gears in the run-in to the end of the campaign.

Bray are just hovering above the relegation play-off position by a point, and that's something the Bray boss wants to do something about - starting with this game following last week's last-gasp postponement in Galway.

"We've been in this position in the past, and I just hope we've learned from it," cautioned Devlin. "We'll take each game as it comes and try not to worry about relegation.

"Bohs, UCD, Longford, Dundalk and ourselves are all in the same boat to an extent."

Cork, on the other hand, only have to worry about their title ambition - and admittedly that's not looking very realistic at this juncture, following last week's heavy home loss to Bohemians.

James Mulligan is out with a groin strain and that will give Pat Morley or Colin Pat O'Brien the opportunity to impress as manager Liam Murphy admits he would like to see his side score a lot more goals than they've been managing of late.

Conor O'Grady and Anthony Buckley both hope to overcome dead legs and take their places in the City midfield for this clash.

Well I've never heard of a manager hoping that his team would score less goals!
