Well folks, just want to make people aware I've released an EP today with all proceeds in aid of the formation of a Pieta House service in Donegal.

"Pieta House provides a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm."

Suicide is an epidemic across Ireland and in Donegal currently. We're losing more and more good people to it and I want to, in some small way, help to fight this. There's a heap of fundraisers going around at the minute to help with the formation of a much lacking Pieta House service in Donegal.

I decided, having gone through depression and counselling and an awful lot of issues in my past, to entirely write, record, produce, master and release an EP all on my own. Every instrument played on the EP is by me, every voice (besides that of my son) is mine, and every piece of work (barring a small bit of help from a friend in mastering two tracks) is done by me in a home studio. By doing this, I simply want to show that no matter how low you are, or how tough things can get, you can always get through to the other side and achieve great things. A few years ago I'd never have done this or seen myself capable of doing this.

Many thanks folks, would love it if this could generate much needed money for the cause. I'm planning a launch night in Letterkenny before the summer is out with a full band helping me out too in a bid to raise some more funds. Will post details of that when the time comes.

EP Launch for this is taking place on January 21st in Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey. Only €8 tickets from Balor Box Office.

A superb lineup means that even if we turn out to be ****e, there's plenty of great talent on offer to keep the interest including that of the legendary John Muldowney, Limerick lass Jenny Liston, the excellent Without Willow and Shauna McDaid and up and coming blues group Blackbird & Crowd.

If any ye Facebookers would fancy doing a man a favour and sharing out this event I'd really appreciate it. All about raising a few quid for a worthy charity.
