Experienced midfielder Tom Mohan has backed Finn Harps to become the surprise success story of the 2005 eircom League season – just days after leaving the Donegal side for Longford Town!
Mohan, 31, helped Derry City to the League of Ireland title in the in 1997 before joining Harps a year later.
He spent seven seasons at Finn Park, his time culminating in last season’s First Division championship success – the first league title in the Donegal club’s half-century in existence.
He told the Irish Sun: “[The Harps players] have been together for a long time with lots of top-class players like Declan Boyle, Shane Bradley and Jonathan Minnock, who will bring them plenty of experience. The other big asset Harps have is their attack because Kevin McHugh and Chris Breen will trouble any defence.”
