This three week break is getting to me already! Any transfer rumours about?

Not a rumour - but as a Cobh fan you will know best. What was the reason for Andy O'Connell and the Gavlin brothers departures? Important players for Ramblers surely

Good players but none were regular starters so wouldn't say that important. O'Connell is looking at going to the States and doesn't really need LOI at the moment. He left on good terms. As for the twins, they just didn't settle and weren't happy here. Was best for them to move on. They'll do a good job somewhere.

It's funny cos he's the one name out of the three above that I was just guessing at.

Can't see the talks with hoban coming to anything, I think our best case scenario with him is dundalk getting him and us getting whichever of kilduff or McMillan they don't want.

I'd love if we signed him just for the reaction of the rest of the league to be honest :D

Shane O Connor would be an excellent signing

Rumours circulating down here that a key member of the current town squad has had enough and has an offer from another premier side.

Haven't heard anything myself but it's not much good having offers unless the club let them go. Can't see that happening even if they are unhappy.

If they're not getting paid then the club may not have any choice.

There's been no suggestion that we're not paying wages. Crap and all as we've been I'd be very surprised if that was the case.

I don't know what is happening at your club but all is not rosy for sure.
Who owns or runs the club ?
Not turning up for matches is the first step to getting kicked out & I would hate to see that happen to such an old club.

Jim Hanley owns the club lost stock and barrel. We have a board but catch is that board suggest things to Hanley and it is then his call. What a great democracy we have!

Hope to god we,Shamrock Rovers, sign a left back unless Osam is nearly back to fitness. Heard we might be signing Twigg back but I guess that rumor does the rounds every window.

Ah I don't buy that Marty, if a board makes a majority decision then they have to follow it or it simply isn't a board. Members of that board have openly said they simply don't challenge Jim when he makes a decision, they are now hiding behind the excuse ''it's jims call''. Without Jim there wouldn't be a club so i wouldn't have a bad word to say about him

What are you talking about? Athlone are not turning up, not us. You know Longford Town FC? We went into the season with a weak squad and are struggling but we're not about to get kicked out of anything.

Evan is progressing but would be pleasantly surprised if he plays this season. Nothing in the Twigg rumour at all.

Surprised to see the Galvin brothers move on from Cobh, two cracking young players. Would have seen Hendo as exactly the type of manager to get the best out of them.

Kenny Shields has spoken to Paddy McCourt.

Sammy Clingan's name was mentioned as a signing a month or so ago, but heard nothing since.

Would be two good players for us to pick up. They may head back to Waterford but with the doubt over the club, I can't understand why any player would sign for them. I've said that in the past about loads of clubs though and yet players still seem to go there.

Ah I know, he got 5 goals in a brutal Athlone team - some other Division 1 team might give him a go.

Mind you, our last father/son manager/player ended in tears (Roddy).

Released by Charlton as they had nowhere for him to move forward to, they had an English under age international ahead of him. Didn't know Brighton released him.

Ruairi Keating to leave Galway?
Not official but he has gone, or is going.
Unlike Sullivan and Foley, he's no loss - if he spent less time fixing his hairband and more time getting into the box, he might have done a job for us. Was warned by Sligo fans I know that he was a bit flaky - they were bang on the money
