Sligo Rovers manager Sean Connor is currently diligently at work putting a squad together to challenge for promotion in the 2005 season. In order to get his players ready he has also made changes to the coaching structures at the club.
“I have re-shaped the coaching set-up with Gerry Carr now becoming the first-team coach. Gerry is vastly experienced within the eircom Ireland and also outside of it.”
“He has got great local knowledge, is a great club man and he has got the best interests of the club at heart – and he wants to see the club back in the [eircom League] Premier Division. He wants to see quality players coming in and that is why I have brought him into that position,” said the manager.
Connor has also added talented local coach Dessie Cawley to the set-up in the Showgrounds.
