Sligo Rovers manager Sean Connor is currently diligently at work putting a squad together to challenge for promotion in the 2005 season. In order to get his players ready he has also made changes to the coaching structures at the club.
I have re-shaped the coaching set-up with Gerry Carr now becoming the first-team coach. Gerry is vastly experienced within the eircom Ireland and also outside of it.
He has got great local knowledge, is a great club man and he has got the best interests of the club at heart and he wants to see the club back in the [eircom League] Premier Division. He wants to see quality players coming in and that is why I have brought him into that position, said the manager.
Connor has also added talented local coach Dessie Cawley to the set-up in the Showgrounds.
