Finn Harps 1-2 UCD AET
All kicked off in the ground after the game. UCD manager started pushing the Harps players and BJ Banda had to be dragged off the pitch. Details rather sketchy at the minute.
EDIT: Joe Boyle the Harps manager went to shake the UCD managers hand, who refused and started pointing the finger and pushing at Boyle. He shoved him and BJ Banda ran over and gave out to him and he shoved Banda over and it all kicked off at that. Terrible form from a manager who just won a semi-final in an underage game.

With their first season of elite under-age football under their belts, Kerry District League Head Coach Darren Aherne believes it has been a great experience for the players.
Aherne said: "To have elite U17s football on the doorstep for these lads is fantastic as they can train and stay in their own area whilst competing against the very best from their age group across the country.
"We're aware that the U15 League is on it's way so maybe to have both of those would be a real positive for the area.
"We've got a young group so the bulk of our squad will already have had a year under their belts going into next season which will be good for them.
"Overall, it's a great experience. When we played Shamrock Rovers, the lads got to play at Tallaght Stadium which is great for them. The aim remains to see these players progress through to the U19s and up into first team football."

Ask a stupid question, but is 1st Jan 1998 the cut off for next season in the under 19s? That is to say all the 1997 born players will be ineligible next year?
Saw a doc with it on it a couple of years ago, but haven't seen since. Cheers.

Spot the typo in the url of the match report on the league website - http://www.sseairtricityleague.ie/news/7206-report-ucd-4-1-drogheda-united-ucd-crowned-u19-champions-after-dominant-final-display
At least they spelled "dominant" correctly...most of the time.
