Bohs at 4/1 and Drogs at 12/1 seems a bit strange given Drogheda's investment..In the First, Lims at 20/1 is quite appealing to their fans im sure, given their newly optimistic mood

I know bookies are supposed to be well-informed, but the ranking of the Premiership odds look suspiciously like someone's taken last season's Premier table and mixed the 3 promoted sides in with the bottom 2 sides that stayed-up. Derry 33/1 for the league, with Waterford at 20/1 ?Finn Harps and UCD the same odds as Derry ?? Please....

Limerick might be a decent outside punt at 20/1 for the First, but probably at least a season too early for them.

Shels odds for the cup are just a waste of money. They haven't even reached the final in the last 5 seasons, and their priorities this year will be the League and Setanta once they get Europe out of the way.

I think 7/2 for the cup is good odds in the FAI Cup..

you can get some nasty draws but lots of premier teams find themselves in the semi finals without playing a premier team. Even if shels do draw a premier team they will be favourite for any home draw and maybe only Cork away would be an expected defeat.

shels will have a good run in the cup this year im sure. With the cup style Champions League and now the Setanta Cup I think shels are getting into a cup format and the Cup days of the 90's could be on the way back :D

Bohs at 4/1 is a terrible price.Have they not seen how many players we have lost compared to how many we have signed.I would be looking for at least double that before I'd have a punt.Drogheda however are a wonderful bet at 12/1!

Drogs are a decent price for the premier at 12/1..they have made some very good signings and with Shels and Cork City involved in Europe and the Setanta maybe its a good chance for them as there players will be more rested also...

In the first division it probably is to early for Limerick but still though its a strange league..i will be watching who they sign over the next month and if they get a few handy players in Noel O Connor could take them up..its been done before by other clubs..

In the cup the best value i can see has to be Derry City at 16/1...

drogs odds are very good both league and cup, decent cup odds for longford 8/1
with the fact that drogheda will still make a lot more signings before the start of the season

How the fcuk are we 20/1 for the Cup? Have they SEEN our Cup record!!?? :o

obviously not,

Played seven games,
2004
2nd Round - Monaghan 1 Dublin City 0

2003
2nd Round - Portmarnock 0 Dublin City 1
3rd Round - St. Pats 3 Dublin City 0

2002
2nd Round - Fairview Rangers 4 Dublin City 1

2001
2nd Round - Glenmore Dundrum 0 Dublin City 0
Replay - Dublin City 4 Glenmore Dundrum 0
3rd Round - Dublin City 0 Bray Wanderers 2

All in all a pretty pathetic Cup record.
Our complete record:
League Opposition P3 W0 D0 L0
Non League Opposition P4 W2 D1 L1

only six goals in total, and four of them came in one game.
have only one goal in the cup in our last three years, mind you, we haven't have a home game in that time either.

have only one goal in the cup in our last three years
AND I F*CKING MISSED IT! I was at the match (against Portmarnock in the AUL), but something persuaded me to turn my back to the game just as Alan O'Connor swept the ball into the net from a quick throw.

thats why you see new bookmakers offices opening all over the place and internet betting thriving.they're there to take your hard earned dosh off you
and give back as little as is humanely possible.

should be at least 66/1-100/1

It's hard to look by Shels in the premier really, but outside bets would be Drogs and Kildare in the 1st, with Limerick and Athlone as good outsiders i reckon.

Can't understand how Harps and UCD are half the odds what we are considering it's harps 1st time in the premier in many a year and that there is very little between the 3 teams. Plus college have lost 3 really good players

Pats @ 12's and Bray @16's in the cup look good value for money, even Longford @ 8's is ok.

Longford and Drogs look ok in the Cup and Derry are probably worth a flutter, they usually do well in the Cup. Its hard to know though, you could avoid getting a Premier team until the final if you get good draws.

Think Ramblers mightn't be a bad bet at 14's. A couple of decent signings so far with more expected. A good each way shot at least I'd say.
