Long shot, but any tickets for any of the three games that may be going, send them on this way.

Would take 2 for Belgium/Italy too.

Should ticket threads be set up for the individual matches?

I'll put my name down for Sweden (2) and Belgium (2) (max quantity as per ticket rules?) if so.

I think so. That's how it was for Euro 2012. I'll set em up sure.

has anyone seen tickets on the portal at all? Pretty sure I've seen tickets for every other team, bar Republic of Ireland!

DeLorean

Ireland v Sweden used pop up intermittently, Italy v Ireland slightly less so and I've only seen Belgium v Ireland tickets once and it was the day it opened. That's been my experience anyway.

The FAI's 1-2 week expectation of finalising the extra tickets is up tomorrow by my reckoning also.

Edit- Italy tickets just popped up but were gone as soon as they appeared as usual.

I emailed them about this again, hopefully they won't eliminate me from proceedings on the grounds of being a plague. This was the reply:

Many thanks for your email.

We intend communicating with all supporters next week.

We understand that fans are starting to get anxious and appreciate your patience during this process.

That's a decent response from them. Acknowledging the issue and straight up calling it.

Yeah in fairness it didn't leave me with any lingering questions.

They may be waiting for the resale portal to run it's course so they can see who got what and avoid duplicate tickets going to anyone.

Ticket portal closed: http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/ticketing/index.html

The ticket resale platform is now closed. All tickets that were put up for resale and were not purchased by other fans will remain allocated to the resellers. For more information on tickets for UEFA EURO 2016™ go to EURO2016.com (http://euro2016.com/tickets).
Only saw a handful of Republic of Ireland tickets the whole time it was open, no luck getting any.

BonnieShels

That was quick. Has anyone gotten tickets at all outside of the initial allocations?

DeLorean
01/04/2016, 9:23 AM
Nope. Right, so basically half the country will get an email when a couple of tickets become available. If the chances were slim before they're non existent now.

Have those FAI emails gone out?

I haven't gone near YBIG since the first day of this when I had that transaction go through.

DeLorean
01/04/2016, 10:00 AM
I haven't received anything yet anyway, they said they 'intend' doing it this week. Then again, three weeks ago they said they intend doing within 1-2 weeks.

Have those FAI emails gone out?

Got notified yesterday evening. Had anybody else applied for the FAI's extra tickets? I got an email with an ID number and a notification that I was successful in getting two Cat.1 Belgium tickets. When I logged into the account there were invoices for two Belgium Cat.2 tickets and two Sweden Cat.1 tickets! I didn't ask any questions, I just threw in the credit card details!

Edit - the deadline for accepting (paying for) any tickets offered is midnight 28th April. The FAI were not in receipt of any Cat.3 or Cat.4 tickets from UEFA. No tickets will be issued until they receive payment and the passport details of those using the tickets.

Belgium seems to be impossible so far, thank feck for the FAI. For those who applied to the FAI with no luck, I wonder would it be worth chancing them again after the dealine for payment expires on Thursday night. They only received Cat.1 & Cat.2 tickets from UEFA so there's bound to be a good few who applied but wouldn't be willing to pay in excess of €100 for a ticket. Just a thought.

Who else is heading a tad earlier and possibly catching TUR-CRO the night before?

That match is on at 3pm so we won't quite make it. Might keep an eye on the ticket situation for the Switzerland Romania game on the 15th though. We're heading to Lens for England Wales also but I'd imagine tickets for the would be pretty unlikely, I have applied for a few though as a neutral.

I picked up two Cat.4 tickets for Switzerland v Romania off the portal there. I don't think I'd have been willing to pay even the Cat.3 prices for it so happy enough. Not the most attractive fixture in the world but how bad but at least it's in Parc de Princes to mix it up a bit.

There seems to be plenty of Turkey v Croatia tickets Bonnie - Euro 2016 Ticket Availability (http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/ticketing/index.html#availability)

According to that link there is still Cat 1 & 2 available for NI/GER. I'm in the portal now and no sign of any....

on a whim, I logged into the portal again. Still some tickets on sale, but all of our group's teams have been removed from the drop down select box, so I'd imagine that means they're sold out completely

I chanced my arm with this as well. I got this reply...

At the moment we have no tickets left to allocate, however should we received returns we will offer those tickets to the next deserving supporters.
We will communicate to those supporters only by email week beginning May 9th.

Fair enough I guess!

Was trying to pick up a few of the restricted view tickets there but no luck. It had indicated that there was a decent amount of Sweden tickets (in excess of 500 anyway) but they've disappeared completely now. What's with that head wrecking 'human detector' thing where you have to identify the pictures with trees, road signs, store fronts, etc. Half the time it's not even that clear from the pictures. I haven't felt so much like smashing a keyboard since the days of my Commodore 64 freezing half way through a game.

Pain in the backside right enough but I suppose it was UEFA's attempt at stopping the touts/ bots getting hold of all the spares

DeLorean
05/05/2016, 2:21 PM
Excuse my ignorance, but how does that stop them? It certainly stopped me having any chance anyway. :)

Nugget
05/05/2016, 2:29 PM
It stops automated bots from buying up all the tickets. Doesn't stop human touts but it at least levels the playing field. It should have been in from the start.

DeLorean
05/05/2016, 6:27 PM
Wouldn't the Ticketmaster-type 'identify the figures below' thing have been enough though? I actually couldn't tell if there were mountains or grass in some of the photos. ;)

Junior
09/05/2016, 1:12 PM
Yeah, Just meant as Nugget has said it stops the developed software programmes 'bots' that do the keystrokes in a fraction of the time that a human can. Any Tout who is serious will be using these and hence will be picking the spares up well ahead of any joe blogs fan.

Pain in the a$$ I agree - but did level the playing field.....I think

My tickets for the three games arrived by post this am. Happy days. Now all we need to avoid are air traffic controllers' disputes and fuel shortages due to strikes in France.

Not strictly Euro 2016 and a desperate long shot but, due to work commitments, I didn't think I'd be about Cork for the Belarus game tonight and now I am. If anyone has a spare ticket, give us a shout please! Looking very bleak.
