As regards Mike, All I will say is Keep an eye on the Sports Pages over the next few weeks and come back with the same arguements then.
Sorry to bring this back to the floor when it would probably suit us all to leave it buried but the sports pages have been eerily quiet on the matter of Mike Kerley's next move.
Can anybody tell me what the story is, what the story was or if the whole rumour was concocted to make Mike's departure more palpable to the fans? :)

Would he go to Kilkenny City?. They need a new manager and he was there before (i think!)

Rumour has it up here that he could be unveiled as the next manager of Galway United on thursday 20th of January, as Tony Mannion has taken a seat on the board as general manager.

Well, we know now it won't be Kilkenny. Would be delighted for him if he got GAlway - a good progressive club. I think he would get a fine reception when he brings whatever side to Rathbane next season.

From what I've heard that was after the "Mike is getting something" line. Simply coincidence and wishful thinking on the new owners part.

Jaysus Deise - do you think JFK was shot from the Grassy "Noel" as well -or is that just a coincidence too. :)
I think the rumour was circulated by us - on this site - so we can't blame anyone else.

Wasn't the rumour that was put out about Mike originate from the people who are now involved in the club, I mean it wasn't a trick by them to manipulate people's support when they shafted Mike was it?
Perhaps they were correct and that Mike really was going to abandon us at one stage to take over as Limerick FC under twenty-one manager, I'm actually surprised Noel didn't apply for such a prestigious post instead of what he's got now :D
If any club official is reading this then please feel free to break your vow of silence. We value your opinion :)

LFC in Exile: Sorry but your last post was completely incorrect. It was spread by the new owners.
It was put out to make us taking the news more palatable. There was no truth in it. It's as simple as that.

Sweeney and O'Flynn for O'Brien.
Kerley for O'Connor.
We seem to be shafted at every corner by Cork!
Well dont really agree with ye boys !
in Todays Sun we are linked to Pat dolan as our assistant manager!!
Maybe this will put a stop to all the doom and Gloom merchants out there!!! I heard Carlsberg are sponsoring us next year for we have Prob the most negative Fans in the World.

A guy down here just asked me if we were really after Dolan. :) Please God no. Unless he is going to play centre mid - he would certainly stop runs through on the back four - or at least if they did try to get through they'dbe knackered by the time they got around him.
:)
By the way - is he involved in the consortium?

Probably the most negative fans int he world!?!?!?!
DEFINITELY :p
Would this Dolan connection be from the same source as the Kerley being offered every other job in the country, bobby ryan for Limerick, Willie Boland for Limerick rumour mill? The same source that tried to lay the seeds of doubt as regards to Mike's managerial abilities at games and on this board? If it is than I do believe its pinch of salt time yet again!
