Watching setanta coverage of pats longford and have to say it's so superior to rtes coverage. Not rushed, seem to do research. Builds up a pretty average game very well.

Its a whole broadband package, its free if you have Eircom (Eir) broadband, but I can't figure out what you need to do to register as a non Eircom customer without signing up for their broadband.

I was signed up before this deal came in to place. 25 euro a month; don't know if you can still do it that way but I'm sure they wouldn't turn down cash

It's just what Setanta Ireland have rebranded as. You can sign up the same way as with Setanta.

It's free to Eir broadband customers too though.

Yes I have Eir broadband but no Sky/Cable but I got on to the Eir sports on my pc with an Eir logon id. I love the line they are going with that it's "free" to Eir broadband subscribers though, as coincidentally I received a letter from Eir yesterday advising my package was increasing by €7 a month!

I see that the Welsh PL are playing some of their games on 3pm Sunday for their coming season, with Friday night English PL games on tv could the LOI follow. Big difference between Wales and Ireland is the GAA Championship, but the influence of that on LoI crowds may be over-estimated.

In relation to the TV Rights for League of Ireland, what is the current state of play?

RTE’s contract with the FAI started in August 2013 and finishes in December 2018. RTE are committed to 17 signals a year, those signals include cup semi finals and final If they’re are really good cup matches they might do an additional cup match and drop a league match.

More info here in a v good interview with RTE Head of Sport, Ryle Nugent - http://www.intallaght.ie/rte-explain-position-on-league-of-ireland-coverage/
