As this is the Close Season and people have a bit of time on their hands, anyone want to try their hand at football-related poetry?
I help out on an English site - www.footballpoets.org - everyone is welcome to contribute, although a large proportion of poets seem to support Liverpool and/or Celtic.
Just a few rules - poems must be original, have at least one line relating to football, and have no swear words. We're not prudes, but a lot of primary schools access the site. Oh, and they must be genuine attempts - not "Man U are best, Better than the rest" type things!
Quite a dearth of Irish-related poems out there, so some balance needed!!
