Monaghan United fans who were becomming anxious about the number of first team regulars who have signed for other clubs during the close season will be relieved to hear that behind the scenes manager Mick Cooke has been busy building his squad for next season. Re-signed for 2005 are Player of the Year Jimmy Fullam and Supporters Player of the Year Jim Murphy, as well as Keith Foy, Sean Kelly and Graham Doyle.
Alan Lee, a tall striker who played for United in pre-season last season has also been signed by Mick Cooke, as has goalkeeper Robbie Horgan who has previously played for Dublin City.
Lee was very good last time in pre season could be useful, not sure why we needed Hrogan, thought Vlad played very well when he got a run between the posts at the end of the season.
