Alright lads,

Me and a couple of mates are possibly planning a low-key, respectful invasion of Dublin for the World Cup qualifier in March 2017, thought I would ask around here as to some suggestions for reasonably priced hotels. Don't have a budget as such, but I'm not necessarily looking to stay in Enda Kenny's summer house either, affordability is an important concern. Any suggestions appreciated. I'm thinking we'll stay a few days as it's a weekend one.

I got a good price on the travelodge in Rathmines recently. It's a couple of miles out of the city centre and lacks a residents bar but you can get a bus outside that will take you straight into the city centre. Other than that i's a travelodge so you know what you're getting.

If there are enough of you staying for a few days it might make sense to have a look at AirBnb for an apartment. I've never used it myself but I've heard good things from people who have.

You're already planning for march 2017? You are a better man than I.

What's the fixtures?

I've stayed in staycityapartments before cyrmu, if a few lads some very handy locations for boozing and sight seeing.

It's keenly priced too for a group of 3 or 4.

I was trying to remember the name of that crowd. I've used them as well. The apartment was clean, modern, and it worked out to be good value.
