Longford town have being linked to Bohs midfielder Fergal Harkin and are still favourites to get Dave Morrison.

Morrison has being released by bohs but Harkin remains under contract.

the club has also chasing Andy Myler and Danny O Connor from Drogheda although a dispute between the clubs over whether a fee will be paid is set to arise.

Hrakin is staying with Bohs according to eleven-a-side, he was in touch with Alan Mathews before but I can't see it happening, hadn't heard much about Morrison. I'd say we'll pay a fee for O'Connor and Myler but not €20,000 anyway, Gary Cronin is coming for nothing as he was released

Harkin in fairness to him wouldn't be a bad signing. Having seen him play quite a bit he appears to be a tricky and pacy winger and would give Kirbs something to think about! Neither would Morrison for that mattter. It's just hard to see those lads leaving Bohs though.

While I'm on the subject of Bohs, I heard from a reliable source the other day that that Town are interested in signing highly rated Bohs U21's skipper Darren Burke. Darren who was on loan to Monaghan Utd for the majority of last season is currently regaining full fitness after a lengthy injury spell. He also spent a period at Blackpool but seemingly got homesick and was unable adjust to life over there.

Anybody else hear this? Important that Town keep monitoring the youth I think. It might be the way forward.

I havn't heard anything about Burke, but it is hopeful that Morrison will sign. IMO Morrison is one of the best wingers around on his day, can't understand why Bohs got rid

Because his day doesn't come around very often and he's injury prone.

Can't say I know the guy Longfordian. All I heard was that Town were enquiring about him lately and he might be willing to leave Bohs for the Cup winners!

Depends on what he's looking for, considering he was full time with Bohs.

Could be some truth in this Harkin story seemingly..It would depend on whether he's let go or not I'd imagine

Harkin wouldnt be a bad signing but I would love a fit Morrison. He is a class player and what we need aswell as a centre midfielder. Harkin can play there cant he?
