Stephen Kenny blooded a lot of youngsters in his time at Bohs and there has been a few that have faded from the scene as quick as they started. At the start of last season there were two players making strides- namely Gareth Logan and Darren Burke from the 21s, who Kenny had high hopes for. I've heard about Burke being linked with Tranmere from a reliable source, but Longford is another option that has been mentioned also. Can anybody confirm such rumours or is he still in college? Logan was even rated higher and hasn't got a look in under the new management.
What are Farrelly's intentions for the crop of players Kenny and Gino Brazil brought through? Shame if all the good work went to waste.

Both of those lads had a lot of ability from what I can recall. Heard Burke was making trips to Liverpool alright. Didnt realise it was for trials with Tranmere. Apparently Tranmere did a deal with Stella Maris a few years back, and someone at the club organised a week's trial for Burke. I presume he's out of contract at Bohs. Definitely surprised that Farrelly is letting the lad slip through his fingers. He's probably a more physically imposing right back than Damien Lynch. From what i know, Logan is still with Bohs, but it remains to be seen whether he will be a part of Farrelly's plans.
Wednesday's D-day for the man with the tan- Darren Burke (not Stewy Holt ;) ). Farrelly has yet to make any significant signings in the Dalyier hotseat and the signs are ominous that the former Bohs U21 skipper will slot in at right full for the coming season. The departure of both Damien Lynch and Simon 'Spiders' Webb to Drogheda further signify that former Evertonian Farrelly is willing to place his faith in the young Liverpudlian Darren Burke with immediate effect. If the young Gorey man can is willing to stay off the bottle, Farrelly according to many has a real talent on his hands. We shall wait and see! ;)

Some good points made there. There is no doubt that young Burke has the ability. However, he has often failed to live up to his reputation. If he can ease off on the booze and the women, he has a great chance of establishing himself in the Bohs first team this season. From what I know of Burke, his emergence as a potential EL player can be attributed to the wonderful academy established by Michael Wallace in County Wexford. Never thought I'd see the day that Gareth Farrelly, a former Evertonian, would have too Liverpudians in his ranks. Lets hope for the sake of Darren Burke and Jockser Kelly that they can make an impact on the field this season.
