The club may consider it slanderous because it's 1) untrue and 2) potentially damaging to the club's reputation. So I go back to what I said earlier, back up your claim or withdraw it. I'm not debating whether 'law is being broken' because someone gets mileage. What I am saying is that you 'heard' something, assumed it true and printed it and I know for a fact it is untrue.

Well I believe your former keeper when he tells me he was paid

Well I believe your former keeper when he tells me he was paid

Ok, so provide details of 'great expense payments' he received and what exactly was it for? Was it in respect of 50 odd mile round trips to training? And contrast this with the fact that the current squad of players genarally drive to games within their own league jurisdiction at their own expense without claiming a cent. This makes your original statement very misleading.

Reminds me of the story of Paul McVeigh going around nightclubs in Letterkenny telling women he was a professional footballer while playing for Finn Harps, earning around 50 quid a week expenses for playing semi-pro at the time.

Not too sure, but I saw him trying it once, and it was bloody hilarious.

Any date and venue confirmed for final? The Dublin side march on to the decider on May 14 at the Aviva Stadium, where they’ll meet the victor from the other semi-final between St Peter’s of Athlone and Pike Rovers, which will be replayed on April 20 at Leah Victoria Park in Tullamore following Saturday night’s abandonment due to adverse weather.

Strange one for a Wednesday night to be fixed for the replay. Any precedent for that?

A good night for Pike Rovers. They beat St Peter's 2-0 in Tullamore to reach FAI Junior Cup final. That'll be in @AVIVAStadium next month

Limericks first club to win an FAI got beaten by 17 goals on Sunday. Limerick junior football is embarrassing at the moment. No wonder all the clare teams are heading back to the clare league. The LDL practicly begged nenagh to join the league. Caledonians are going to fold now aswell as Wembley.

Limericks first club to win an FAI got beaten by 17 goals on Sunday.Jebus! 17. I was on the end of a 14-0 loss once but little did we know that our keeper had spent the night before in a cell drunk, the morning/afternoon in the pub and could hardly see straight for the evening kickoff. Spent that night in a cell too and is now in there long term.

Just over the hour mark here in the Aviva and it is still Sheriff YC 1 Pike Rovers 0
Sheriff missed a glorious chance through Darren O'Brien, but Pike are hanging in.

Good game ,Sheriff dominant and by far the better team, that midfield player Dunne the best player on the park.pike tried their best but just not good enough and the way team lined out suited the winners.great day out even though Limericks finest lost out.
