a supporters trust sub committee has been set up to look into and organise people and ideas on creating debate about our name "GALWAY UNITED"

Its important to get involved with this debate and help the committe come up with positive solutions and ideas to show over the next 18 months how important the name galway united is both to the city and county.
it gives our region coverage 10 months of the year in the national press
and has a good history playing in europe 3 times and winning the fai and league cup, first division and first division shield some years back

keep the debate positive and non personnel and route your comments to the supporters trust and we will file everything

we may not be shareholders but the supporters the volunteers, ex and current players and employees of the club are stakeholders

we should try and organise meetings outside of Galway to mobilise our county support.I would be willing to help if anyone thiks this is a runner. We have to keep our name in the public eye and make sure we keep all supporters udated on the danger of the name change.

good suggestion tommy, u know as well as i there is a good appetite for this campaign, We can utilise the local radio, press etc, the likes of local politicians etc should be made aware of the arguments as well. Diarmuid Darcy is heading up the sub committee and he is a professional marketing person and very capable of developing this but like everything he will need all your help
