Good volley two minutes from full-time by Onwubiko for Bray proved the difference in a decent friendly in Ferrycarrig tonight. Wexford went with Gavin Dowling in goal, Craig McC., Ryan, Hopper, Jimmy, Speedy, Peter, John Peare, Andy and with Danny and Paul Cahillane up front. Bray went ahead in the 12th minute when an error in the Wexford defence gave an easy chance to Bray. But while Gavin saved the first shot he couldn't prevent the rebound going in for 1-0 to the away side. Bray went two up on 18 minutes when a peno was awarded and it was put away. On 33 minutes, Youths had the ball in the net but it was ruled out for offside. A minute later, Bray had a chance which was sliced a foot wide of the post. With two minutes to go in the half, Danny had a good run and a shot which went in off the right-hand post to leave the score at 1-2 to Bray at half-time.

Bray made four changes at half-time while Youths made only positional changes. However, on ten minutes, Shane Keegan brought on Conor English, Conor Sutton and Eric Molloy for Danny, John Peare and Speedy. With twenty minutes gone, Wexford were awarded a peno for handball and it was put away perfectly by Conor English for 2-2. With 12 to go, David Doyle came on for Peter Higgins and, with five to go, Paul Brennan for Jimmy Dermody. Then, with two minutes to go, a ball was sent down the left channel for Onwubiko and his first-time left-footed volley gave Gavin Dowling no chance at his near post to leave Bray 3-2 winners at full-time. Best for Wexford were Hopper, Peter and Andy while Eric also did well when he came on.
