Saw Greenmount take on Lakewood Saturday. Referee lost total control but Greenmount really should hang their heads in shame. Lakewood manager and sub were sent off, correctly but Greenmount had two midfielders that were a disgrace. 6'5 midfielder telling the ref he will kill the Lakewood manager and the ref not doing anything. Lakewood player sent off for being a punching bag for the 2 Greenmount players.
Referee lost total control and seemed to be petrified of the Greenmount team.
Ref out of his depth and left the game descend into childish behaviour.

He was very poor, seemed to know the Greenmount players which prob made sending them off harder.
Still it takes 2 to tango and Lakewood were tough but not dirty.
AUL really needs to look at the standard of refereeing in their league. Its getting worse and worse.
How many games per year are muddied by poor refereeing or games decided by shocking decisions?
Greenmount Rangers v Lakewood Ath, Murphys Farm, D.Daly

Great result for fairview today beating knocknaheeny and inflicting the first defeat of the season on them, any match report for us Bantz?
Was at the game on Saturday, Knocknaheeny started the game very strong and had a good share of the possession for most of the first half. Fairview chased down every ball and showed fierce determination. Fairview were robbed of a stone wall penalty in the first half for a handball. Knocknaheeny were also lucky to get away when one of the centre halves dragged back the Fairview striker clear through on goal, he was the last defender.
Fairview started the second half the better side and once settled had a few chances. First goal came from a penalty given away when the Knocknaheeny right back pulled back the Fairview striker. Referee had no choice but to award. Penalty was then well put away. Fairview in my opinion took heart from this and weathered another Knocknaheeny storm before hitting them on the break with some lovely passing before the ball was put in the back of the net. This had Fairview 2-0 up.
Knocknaheeny pressed forward and took a gamble which almost paid off until the Fairview keeper made some great saves. Knocknaheeny continued to pressure until they got a goal back. This made for an interesting last 10 minutes. Although defending their lead Fairview still continued to show no fear and kept attacking. Knocknaheeny also threw the kitchen sink at ''The View'' until after about five minutes injury time the referee blew up.
What happened after that was great to see in an AUL game, even though both teams battled hard during the game and tackles and insults were flying, once the final whistle went both teams shook hands and Knocknaheeny wished the lads all the best in the next round. Good to see neighbouring clubs wish eachother well.
Knocknaheeny in my opinion are a great footballing side and will win trophies this season. They are well organised and every one of them can play ball at a good standard. Fairview after a poor start to their season are starting to find their feet and are showing signs of the team which almost won a treble last season.

Watched the Glen A last week and their B team this week 5-3 loss to Ard Na Loai poor performance in 1st half by the glen had some chances but gave away a stupid penalty and dropped it 3 nil at half time to Ard na loai. But the Glen came out flying in the 2nd half made 2 subs and keeper came out field and got it back to 3-3 with a 15 minute hat trick. mistakes at the end by the referee and the back line cost them the game. Very good second half by both teams. Ard Na Loai push on to next round. They'll be a tough team to get past I think their striker also got a hat trick, good ole player had the glen rattled by the looks of things.

Was away last week bud, well done to ye.. But just seen today's result against Corkbeg, any match report on that
What can I say, played very well last weekend against Knocknaheeny and left it all behind in Kilmore Road last Saturday. Started well and took the lead, had a nightmare of a referee (not making excuses) but when a player runs beyond the last defender and the defender pulls him back right in the view of the referee and the Fairview player gets booked for diving then you know your in for a long day.
Not to take anything away from Corkbeg but after the start of the second half they dominated for 15 mins which saw them score three good goals. After that then they sat back and absorbed the pressure. Decent side and all you need to do is look at their league form. For Fairview it's back to league duty next saturday against Buttevant.
Are you sorryburnsy as well special juan??

Watched Greenmount v Leeview today in the st Michaels cup and saw what I can only describe as the most vile act I've seen in 20 years playing AUL football.A Fella in the middle of the park for Greenmount who likes to put it about a bit (which is fair enough) was bleeding from the nose after an earlier clash (and was allowed remain on the field with blood coming from his nose) decided during a stoppage in play to continue to try start something with 2 different players and as he wasn't getting any joy with his remarks, proceeded to spit blood from his nose at one of the Leeview centre halves whilst the ref was looking the other way. Absolutely disgusting and there should be no place in the game for that kind of carry on. Still in disbelief as to what I witnessed. Amazed that the centre half kept his head to be honest. Any thoughts ?

Its either 2 guys. Big tall lad with shaven head or small stocky guy with huge chip on his shoulder. We played them a few weeks ago and they were a disgrace and hearing what you said enforces that. My money is on the big tall lad with the shaven head being the culprit.

Hope Leeview officials push this at disciplinary. Greenmount have gone way back. Used to be a good honest team but being ruined now by 1 or 2 scumbags both in the field and the line. Always ruined by the minirity. That player belongs in an empty room.

Nothing will be done! ref never saw it and neither did any of us except op but knowing the team and certain players on the team its very very very believable.
Greenmount will do nothing to the player either, I hope they do but standards are gone way back by them.
If I was in charge of a team and 1 of my players did that he would be gone and if the rest of the team disagreed they could all go. No need for that in your life!!
Such a scummy thing to do!

So what you are trying to say is that Killer cannot speak about what the Greenmount player(and I use player lightly for him) did as he bit someone long ago.
Its no wonder this country is ****ed.
Typically Irish 'Sur you can't say anything cos you did this or who are you to talk when you did this!!'
And will point out that I have never met Killer in my life so no link between us before ye start saying we are mates!
