Saw it when it was on RTE, it's worth buying all right, the old footage is class. My only complaint is they seemed to want to get as many Kerr victories in and so picked some of the weirdest games. Georgia and Albania  Hardly oens we'll be remembering in thirty years time, and they also put in Romania at home in a friendly, which was odd, why not the Czechs or Holland away? Apart from that complaint, which is fairly minor, it's well worth getting. The old footage with Dalyer and Jimmy Magee commentating is brilliant.

As the DVD was produced by RTE, it obviously only includes games to which RTE had TV rights. Why was Romania included? The return of the prodigal of course! Even stranger was the inclusion of the Saudi WC game. I was in Japan at the time and don't know what games RTE had, but of the 4 games the Saudi game was the least 'great' game.

Agree with comments about Dalymount and Jimmy Magee. The other point of interest I thought was how well Paul McGrath looked and spoke, sad things seem to have gone awry for him since that was made.

Can the DVD be bought online yet? I'm out foreign and couldn't find any mention of it on the RTE website last time I looked. Any helpful word on this would be heartily appreciated (PS: are (m)any of The Great Terry's matches featured?!!)

They also had the win over Romania on it. We would always beat them in Dublin, and it was only a FRIENDLY. They only put it on because Roy returned.

The problem with the dvd is that it's only Irish victories which means they didn't show the likes of the Germany match in '02, Windsor Park in 1993, Russia in 1988 along with the likes of Holland and Portugal away in 2000....and these few games are just the ones off the top of my head. Having said this I still of course bought the DVD and if you are a fan of the Irish football team you will enjoy it.

Thanks a mill, Superhoops.

Does anyone out there have a list of what matches are covered in the DVD? A few of you mentioned some of the notable omissions, but if there's anyone who can let me know what games are featured on it I'd be muchos thankful.
