Yale and Harvard were playing each other last week in college football. Some Yale fans posed as "The Harvard Pep-squad" and handed out pieces of cardboard telling the harvard fans that if they held them up together it would spell out "Go Harvard" in giant letters. They lied! Have a look at the results...

Remember UCD are back up.
You'll need to divide the words "We Suck" between 3 cards. :D

For me the greatest ever prank was the appointment of Ian stokes to ref the City v Bohs game. Or, how about the FAI launching a massive infighting campaign in the week of the FAI Cup Final. That was a great one by them - deflecting attention away from one of the biggest games in the domestic calender.

Or how about the leader of a country who pretended to love his countrys sport but was more often seen at Old Trafford.

Orwells War of The Worlds being braodcast on radio in the 40s has to be the best one ever.

Last Manchester Derby in Maine Road, in the Kippax, a banner is unfurled and passed around over the heads reading "Manchester is Red"....

Wasn't the reply, "Only on match day when the Paddies and the Landaners are in town"? :D

How about that imposter who slipped into the photo of the ManU team before a European game a few years back?

"We uck" is the result? Didnt really work out for them, did it?

That would be a good ad for prostitutes at a match. They could all put up banners saying "We Suck".

Not really a prank but the "We're going to bomb Russia in 15 minutes" Ronnie Reagon inadvertingly said in a radio broadcast in the mid 80's was pretty funny.

Now excuse me while I put my raincoat back on as Eanna gets ready to fire all sorts of stuff my way again.

Homer Simpson: "Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked."

Bart Simpson: "I didn't think it was physically possible, but this both sucks and blows."

Says it all really! :D

How about that imposter who slipped into the photo of the ManU team before a European game a few years back? Think he did it in a cricket context too.

He did it in Tennis as well. Think a tv channel did a doc on him about a year ago.

Wasn't panic spread some time years ago on April Fool's Day after a tv broadcast announced that Martians were invading earth? Or is that the War of The Worlds Thing?

And your favourite ever Irishman was the only one to spot him.

He did do the criket - walked out when a wicket went down at one of the test matches, but got rumbled pretty early.

He also, along with some others recreated Diego Forlans goal against the scousers (the one that Dudek let between his legs) in the return match at OT. Think he got a ban for that one.

Another regular one was blagging his way into Press Conferences and asking stupid questions of Fergie - apparently Fergie was the only one to suss him straight away...

Incidentally, he's a mate of Shaun Ryders - he was the star of the Black Grape song "Fat Neck" (Live version which was a B side of Kelly's Heroes is the one to check out, not the Single version).
