I've heard that the constant travelling down to Waterford is getting to Paddy and that as a result he's thinking about coming back to Limerick. His father, as it happens, was one of the key men in the current crop of 'administrators' but possibly he's trying to stay involved. I've also heard that Waterford have tried very hard to perseude him to stay but he doesn't seem to be responding all that well to their overtures.

He'd want to be completely mad to play for Limerick FC. What a come down that would be from Waterford to a club that most junior clubs in Waterford and in Limerick would hockey.

There was a little side column in the Scum today saying that he has reportedly turned down a two year deal at Waterford and was then qouted as saying, 'I wouldn't rule out a move back to Limerick', any of the 'Insiders' on the board have any more details about this?

I heard from a good source with the Deise that he has told them he's going back to Limerick. Yippee.

And it makes sense I suppose. Okay, currently Waterford are in the Premier doing well. Limerick are the bottom seeking re-election. But think of it this way. Maybe he'd rather be with a club with a future than one that has achieved as much as it can and is breaking apart e.g. Murphy, Whelehan departing. :ball: And maybe he prefers to play with a football side than one that kicks everything that moves.

kerley was fond of the kicking part. came on as a sub in the showgrounds and jus hacked the ****te of anythin that moved.
I was at that game....don't seem to remember him being booked, or sent-off....and there was a lot of sh1te to be kicked that day.Take it like men, ye wusses.


any chance of heffo goin back to limerick. absolute class act wasted on us last yr bcos of o'riordan. very ambitious player and rightly so surprised if waterford don't make a move for him after his performance at their running track last yr.
No doubt he will be welcomed back in to the fold next season, should he be sensible enough to return and become part of the resurgence of Limerick football..

Coming from such a backward club, I can understand you not understanding why someone would want to better themselves. Football transfers are all about putting yourself in the shop window, and ye expressed the interest in him based on Heff & Ciaran Foleys recommendations. Can't see how that makes him out to be what you called him. :confused:
