Forgetting the cup tie for a minute we have Limerick, Bray and Galway in our 3 next league outings and I think these mini series of games will have a huge outcome on whether or not we are involved in anything down or around the bottom of the table.

The Limerick game is a strange one to call because as bad as they have been this season they actually out played us football wise on a dirt poor pitch in Jackman and you can tell Martin Russell is desperate to get them on a bette playing surface as they have been trying so hard to play good football on a bad pitch and with the CCS pitch like a carpet at the moment you'd worry it might suit them down to the ground. However, then you think about the thumping they got off a desperate Bray side and think there's no way we shouldn't be sticking at least 3 past this lot. Closer we get to match day and the more nervous I'm getting, I suppose that's what happens when you haven't won in so long and have such big games coming up. Cmon de town

I watched Limerick v Cork last week, both teams were absolutely diabolical, all Limerick did was pass around the back 4 and hit long balls. Their keeper is getting progressively worse.

In both teams defense there's no chance that any side could play football on that pitch and yes the keeper is getting progressively worse which I didn't think was possible. We're allegedly gone from Jackman now and the pitch at the Markets Field is like a snooker table compared to it and that fills me with dread - at least the pitch in Jackman was a bit a leveller for us!

Ah how could I forget to mention your awful awful goalkeeper. Hope to see us target him with plenty of long balls and rough him up a bit.

Just trying to line the team out in my head and I'm struggling. 442 is surely the way to go like we did against drogheda and get the crowd behind us from the off (although that maybe a very small crowd).

Word is rossiter will be fit so do you move Jamie back onto the wing for a game where our main aim is to attack? I don't think that's the way to go, I'd leave Rossiter out for this one even though he's been playing superb and keep Flynn and Sully together with Jamie in his natural full back position.

Then you've the dilemma of where to play Salmo or if you play him at all. On their current form you can't move ricer or Kev from the middle or drop them so that either means playing Salmo wide or dropping him but if Don isn't fit we've only Shannon to play wide and cousins hasn't really used him at all this year.

Up front the SOS really look out of form partially Sully who needs a good kick up the arse in my opinion, he's not running and chasing like he was last season he's clearly good enough he just needs to get scoring again and hel be away. But is there a shout of maybe dropping Sully and starting Kaleem after his goal in tallaght? That might be the jolt sully needs to kick into gear.

A lot of dilemmas for the boss to sort out over night, hel haves earned his bucks if he can get us 3 points tomorrow night, it's a massive game.

What way would everyone else go?

If Rossiter is fit it'll be same 11 that started in Tallaght with maybe Simon starting ahead of Sully. But Tony could see Limerick as the ideal team for Sully to break his drought.....Shaw as well!

Jamie isn't a winger we could do with Don being fit but just goes to show we really are lacking another winger. I'd nearly even like to see Kalem on the wing tomorrow night, we need to attack this lot from the off.

Jamie didn't start against Rovers. It was Ben Mohammed and Salmo that played on the wing.

Oh yeah he came on at HT sure, apologies. One way or another Wel have someone out of position, frustrating we don't have another winger it's a position we always seem to struggle in.

I think they have a young team and thier midfield will run rings around our older lads, so I hope Gorman starts in midfield, at least he could give quality balls to the strikers thats assuming his team mate actually give him a few passes in stead of long balls over the midfielders heads, if thats the plan it doesn't matter who's in midfield because they won't have them ball and will be living of scraps.

Extratime reporting it as a 1-1 draw! The 3 points were all a dream.

Very hard work made out of that game. Why the players were not shooting at every opportunity I just don't know, especially given a 17 year old in goal for Limerick. Too often players taking an extra touch or two (ABM the main culprit).

A clean sheet and Kaleem did well in showing some good touches. No other positives really.

I thought considering Gorman isn't playing much these days and was asked to play out of position he was probably our best player over the 90 mins in fact I would have thought man of the match was between him and the Limerick Captain number 8
not that anyone deserved man of the match but as said above a win is a win and it might turn out to be a very valuable 3 points

Wonder why Shannon isnt getting a look in at all? not saying hes great but TC seemed to favour him alot last season and has started deady, samo and mulhall on the wing ahead of him this year. If he doesn't think hes up to it should bring in someone else in the window...

Totally agree, we really are lacking options in the wide area and this has to be addressed in the off season. Lorcs is one of the nicest lads you'll ever meet but if TC isn't going to use him he should be let move on.

I'm a nice lad too but I don't think Tony would put me in the match day squad! He's an average First Division player who I think was kept on for numbers and possibly because there wasn't too many financially viable wingers available during our off season. Now that the English season is over some young Irish lads night become available who didn't make it with their clubs over there. Time will tell what moves Tony will make in the window.

It will be very interesting to see who is selected for the match against Bray, some players have played 210 minutes in 3 days, will they keep thier place or will others who weren't even in the squad come back in

May as well keep this thread going for the bray game. Yeah I can tell you Kevin O'Connor was very leggy against Harps, Tony had to make him sit in front of the back 4 for extra time but hel be desperate to play against bray but I honestly think he needs a rest.

Lorcan Shannon was superb in the 2 games versus Harps and you can tell he needs the confidence so I hope he gets the nod Friday with Aymen on the far wing. Up front Davy simply has to start against Bray and although he's not at his best right now Shaw is still his best partner.

Bar injury the back 4 picks itself with Sully, Flynn and Rossi all available again hopefully. Big shout out to a man who's been heavily criticised on here in Conor Powell he was brilliant on Monday night so should get the nod at left back.

So do you think Cousin will drop Gorman again as he seems to not want him for midfield anymore bad mistake imo it's not just a coincidence the strikers aren't scoring sinse Gorman was dropped from starting in midfield almost 2 months ago now, unless you include the surrendering of half the pitch in Cork

Cousins has no problem with Gorman it's simple as this Rice, Salmo and Kev are all in fantastic form and Rhys will just have to remain patient and hope he gets a chance and takes it. I can't believe I'm saying this but give TC a break for once.

Up late thinking about the team. According to the leader Bray usually play 4-5-1 so I doubt Tony will go 442 as we'd give up the midfield. Maybe hel go back to the 4231 we saw early on in the season with Salmo and Rice sitting with Kev in the centre with Aymen and Lorcan each side? Very natural balance to that side and I really do think DOS is very close to breaking his drought. This ground has good memories for a lot of town fans and for sully himself so I'm hoping tonight is the night we burst into action with a big win.

Not a great performance by any standard. Struggled to break down a team of ten men over 80 mins. It took a bit of high intensity pressure on the back four and we were rewarded. Super finish from Ayman. What a fantastic player he is and its better he's getting. I thought Rice and especially O'Connor were brilliant. I don't know how O'Connor keeps going. Fantastic. Simon and Shannon did well when they came on. Pat Sullivan may as well have been in the stand. Totally disinterested. The rest were fine bar the strikers. Hard to know really. I'm not sure in the red card but I remember thinking it was Rice's ball all day. We'll see Monday.

Good assessment. A pity that Sullivan is getting the nod ahead of an Irish under-19 international. And then there's Rossiter, in what looked like a polo neck, coasting through the game! Front two offered nothing again. The 'White Pele' is looking more like the White Balotelli by the week and Shaw completely ineffective.

Great shift put in by K O'C in the middle. Thank God we have ABM for a bit of spark. Well taken goal.

If Don didn't keep breaking himself, I'd bloody love him to get a run at striker.

All the same, a great week for the parish, if we could grab a win off Galway we'd be in a fantastic position.

Awful game and not a great performance but we got the win and that's all that matters. Shannon made a big difference when he came on he gave us the natural width we were lacking with Salmo out there. I don't get this criticism of Pat Sully he's our best defender by a country mile, he plays with a cigar in his mouth, it's great to watch.

Pat Flynn is our best defender. Good organiser and talker on the pitch.

Sullivan doesn't give a f..k. This whole 'cigar in the mouth' nonsense that gets mentioned is cos he plays at such a slow pace and then just hoofs it. Jamie's directness was a joy to watch last year, albeit against weaker opposition. He's not going to develop much by sitting on the bench. Unfortunately, it's all about results and TC won't risk him.

Very poor game apart from maybe 10 mins in the second half when we scored and played really good football. I'm sure the 120 minutes of football had an affect on some of the players and the grass seemed a bit long as the ball didn't really move on it. I thought KOC was the best player on the pitch, closely followed by Rice and Ben Mohammed. Shanno and Simon made a huge difference when brought on. On the defence Flynn is our best defender in my opinion, but since Rossiter got fit we have started to look a lot tighter and have kept a couple of clean sheets. But he was very lucky to get away with a mistake in the second half. Looking forward now to Galway next week, a win there and we are in a great position going into the break.

Sullivan playing with a cigar in his mouth is ********. His heart just doesn't seem into it. Rossiter was grand all night had **** all to do bar the one time he was turned. Mulhall has been found out slightly which might be harsh. I think he should get a run against some of the weaker opposition.
This season, when we press high up on the back four in number we have been rewarded numerous times. Last night, Rice and Ben Mohammed, Rice and Salmo against Galway to lead to the sending off to name two. And just to reiterate: KOC is unreal. His ball retention is second to none, his passing can be OTT at times but otherwise perfect, and his shooting has been a joy. We're doing fine!

Really don't understand the criticism of Pat Sully, he hasn't done anything wrong all season. He can whip in a great cross (lead to a goal in Galway) and his powerful drives from free kicks and long distance create panic ie Salmos goal against Limerick. He's not a young man anymore can't expect him to be bombing down the wing all the time.

Get on a red card, he's sent off a crazy number of town players in the last few years and he loves to accuse our players of diving even though they've been amputated in some of the tackles. Great boost ahead of Friday.

Extremely nervous about tonight, a loss before the break could totally derail us whereas a win or draw and we are sitting pretty ahead of the pats game. Galway are a much better football side than us but we have the better players and thankfully in recent meetings that's what's got us over the line. I don't care about pretty football tonight if we have to park the bus to get a point then that's what I want. Ryan Connolly will take some stopping as will Enda curran. Hopefully if we get chances tonight our forwards will do their jobs and actually finish them as that's been our main problem this season. Aymen Ben Mohamed gives us a chance of bamboozling the opposition while he's still something of an unknown in the league. Hopefully everyone will have seen the effort we are going to to attract new fans and we aren't shown up numbers wise at home. I do appeal to everyone tonight to get behind the town and create an atmosphere for the lads, something really lacking at home this season.

To be honest we only got them on Tuesday night so it was almost too late to get them up for the Galway game, I happened to be off for the few days so threw them up anyway to see would shops be happy to take them and I can gladly say no one said no to them. With the break coming up wel have plenty of time to cover the place in them for our next home game.

Clueless again. K O'C didn't play well so we had no control on the game. Good call taking Rice off. Salmon had to stay on, he is our top scorer.

Should have brought on Tyrrell for the last few mins to go up front, no point playing long ball up when having no big man to aim for.

Break comes at the right time. I think we all need a rest from watching that muck
