Folks,

Anyone been to Prague? I'm looking for a good reasonably priced hotel to stay for a few days. Anyone got any suggestions?
and before any smart ar$e says "try the internet!", I'm just wondering has anyone got any recommendations ?

youl be disappointed with prague.a lot of it has turned into a tacky seedy place due to mass-tourism.the people arent friendly either

Yeah, but if theres a group of lads there together, it can be quite fun. We were on a stag there in June...pretty good craic, although the cops kept thinking we were brits and so we got a bit of hassle.When they found out who we were though, there was no prob, although one of the lads was actually robbed by a cop who refused to give him back his wallet after searching him.....

Try the "Steak & Tits" river cruise. €42 a head, 2 1/2 hours lapdancing, free food, six free beers and a private lesbian show to finish.....jolly good show !! :D

Prague is QUALITY. My girlfriend is Czech, go there all the time. Try the hotel Platan, very central, 50-70euro per room per night.

Big con over there is for 2 or 3 locals to approach tourists and demand to see their identification (ie wallet). They hold on the the wallet and tell the tourist to wait here while they disappear. Its happened to hundres of Irish. The bogus cops are seemingly always well dressed and look the part.

I was there,good place alright but imagined I was getting ripped off all the time.The people are ok,nothing special.The beer is cheap,some places are cheaper than others so look around,plenty of strip bars if thats what you fancy ;) the food's cheap and stodgy.I was there in November and it was full of tourists,couldn't imagine it in Summer :eek:

My pal lives in Prague, never been myself but 6 of my pals have just been and enjoyed it.

Gives photos of the various b&b's etc so you can see what they're like. I can't remember the name of the place they stayed in but I think it began with V or something and is right next to the train station.
All of them got booked up for 122 Euros for the whole weekend between them for 3 nights! Worked out at about £5 each per night each and they said it was fine!
Plus you've got the added bonus of a pint costing about 50p!!
