There is a severe lack of songs at the moment. There was whatever was created back in 88 and that was it. Is there any new ones people have tried singing in the terraces ? something needs to be done to introduce something new.

Start writing my friend, if its catchy it'll make it to the terraces no doubt. :)

I actually think that looks alright if they get the whole stand doing it.

Yeah it does. I have the tune in my head since our 4-1 win against them. They never stop singing it :D

Despite Corks attempts to rob it that song is ours and ours alone, the National team isn't having it :D

had a great chant where i went to school.it went:
come on u boys in green come on u boys in green come on u boys u boys in green.
went down really well at school gaa matches.
i'm sure it would translate well to da stadiums of germany.

i think a song with people clapping their hands over their head would look great on tv. also everyone jumping up and down together, like the czech fans at euro 2004, would be good.

"We all dream of a team of Robbie Keanes, a team of Robbie Keanes."
Sorry it has to be the original and best 'a team of gary breens'.I'll never forget heading towards my plane out of Amsterdam after our 2-0 defeat in Basle.Hadn't seen any irish fans in Amsterdam that day, until I picked up the sound of a low murmured 'and number 8 is gary breen number 9 is gary breen ......' ascending the escalators to my platform. The six dubs continued it on and off through customs onto the plane,in the plane, off the plane through dublin airport and subsequent dispersal.A classic now timeless chant, one which I'll be singing long after Breeny's gone.

I think there is a great market there for some talented fella to sit down and write a witty piece about Euro 88 and the obvious German links that we've been there before. Not Christy Moore though . . .
Joxer goes back to Stutgart? :p

I reckon Clayton etc. should orgasnise a remaking of ''Puttem under pressure'' cica 1990 when we qualifyfor 2006. Jazz it up change the lyrics round the works. I know its a classic and probably the best ever football song and should not be tampered with. However if they did a good job of it could unite the country.
