That would be a nice silver lining to what must have been a demoralising six months at Blackpool. If he can establish himself at one of those clubs it would mean another young defender playing at one of the bigger Championship clubs and our options would broaden a little more. In fact with Duffy, Christie, Doherty, Kavanagh, and Hoban all cementing places at their respective clubs and Derrick Williams likely to join them in the Championship next season, it hasn't been a bad season for young Irish defensive talent.

Rob Kiernan went from Wigan up the table to Birmingham and has managed 11 appearances since February.

Now, for one of these lads to move up to the PL. We're quite slim in young defenders there. Clark and Coleman are the most recent to have broken through at that level (25 and 26, respectively).

Jeez, I hope another club puts an offer in, Leeds and Blackpool are hardly stable clubs just like Blackpool!

Agreed, Blackpool are just like Blackpool.

Still, the move to Blackpool really hasn't worked out for him. God knows what he's learned playing for such a disorganised side.
