Periscope App?

Did anyone see Soccer Republic's three tweets mentioning a link to a site called Periscope.tv showing a broadcast of the Droghs-Cork game?

It seems to be an app that allows anyone to record and broadcast live from their phone. Quality was pretty darn good and for a minute I shat myself thinking we have live coverage of games but it died after a minute or so.

What's this about? Was the intention to keep it going for the full 90? Can this become a thing?

I've used the app a few times I think Twitter developed it the quality is excellent it could take off but wouldn't say clubs can broadcast goals only interviews etc.
