Quinless told Doolin he wanted to stay at the Saints, he just bought a house in Tallaght too. He's a Saints player now. Great player to have

Yeah, I'm afraid he won't be coming back to the Drogs. He's a great, loyal player and was a firm favourite with Drogs fans. It was officially announced last night that he is staying with Pats. The signing of Robinson earlier in the week hinted that this was in the offing.

Spot on Eamo. There are 22 league clubs, not 12. 1st Div gets scant enough coverage from our own media without doing it ourselves.

Available players on PFAI list

Dundalk duo Paul Marney and Robert Dunne are just two of several eircom League players who appear on a new Professional Footballers Association of Ireland (PFAI) list of players who are out of contract and want a move elsewhere.

Dundalk currently owe wages to players and yesterday, the PFAI stated on their website that they have "Informed the FAI UEFA Licensing committee and expect them to refuse Dundalk FC a licence to play next season unless all monies are paid."

Thats all we need more players leaving...

Dundalk FC website has a response to the PFAI statement yesterday btw for those interested...They fairly attack the PFAI.

So Keely is building the same team of players he had at Dublin City 3 years ago and Kildare County 2 years ago? third time lucky for promotion then?

Keely wasn't at Dublin City 3 years ago, he was at shels and Kildare during that year.

But there is a large crossover between his (and Gill's side at kildare two years ago) and Gillers side of last season at City.

Maynard

Basically! :o Kennedy, Browne, Whelehan, Keely, Scully, McGill, Collins, Mulcahy all played for DC in the last 2 years and have been signed by Keely. Also most of them came via Kildare, some (Kennedy&Scully) have gone from Kildare to Dublin to Kildare to Dublin in under 7 months
At least there is some consistency there and nearly all of the lads will know each other well from the start of pre-season. Also the quality of players like McGill, Collins, Whelehan with Trev Vaughan and others coming in means that the squad should be challenging.
