As has been mentioned on at least two other threads (sorry!) I've a piece in the latest issue of the rather excellent When Saturday Comes on the first season of League of Ireland football, 1921-22, includes some rare photos from the era. St James's Gate did the double as Bohs and Shels left the Irish League to join the newly formed breakaway League of Ireland. Non-league Shamrock Rovers feature too, and there's the great story of the 1922 FAI Cup final including a dressing room schemozzle and the pulling of a gun.
