Charlestown very unlucky against Ballyglass. Player sent off for totally inexplicable reason. When the ref was asked after the answer given was "he knows what he did" this was his reply 3 times. Assistant referees didn't see anything, the press reporter's were as bemused as anyone. Played 2nd half with 10 men and referee had an assist in the Ballyglass 3rd goal by getting in the way of a cross field ball and inadvertently knocking it in the path of the forward to score (didn't see the need for him to laugh and joke with the Ballyglass lads tho). Anyway that aside got back on track last week with an accomplished performance against a poor S n F side. Turned up with only 12 player's and 1 came before k.o. Could be a long season for John O'Hara and his side. Ballyglass are decent and will cause teams trouble. Might lack a bit of pace at the back but will win everything in the air.

What is the situation with the Conn. Gold cup and shield, there was a proposal that the cop would be made up of last years SL teams with the top 6 in PremierA, the Shield would be the remaining 4 in A, the 10 in B and the top2 in League 1, think they planned a third comp. for the other teams, With just 40 teams are they as well just have a cup and a shield. The cup consisting of the SL and PA teams and the Shield of PB and L1 teams.

All gone quiet here lads ....
League still looks like Ballina V Port
Heane, Manulla, Ballyglass & Celtic much of a muchness
Erris will be Erris
Charlestown, S & F and Conn fighting to stay up
Hope that one of the chasing pack joins the big Two in the coming months
The cup is wide open with a Celtic V Heane final marginally favourite At the moment but Erris with no GAA on Sunday could be strong while Manulla are on a great run too with only 1 defeat so far..

Things gone very quiet on this thread, we've had few solid weeks.... Westport leading the super league and looking good to win it again.... Alot of teams fighting around midtable, good to see it so competitive....

Fair play ye have had a couple of good wins give ye a chance of avoiding relegation.
B e nice too lock horns with ye again, Conn Rangers B V Killala in the QF of the premercup, probably 12.0 kick off with the A team at home as well

Ya we are doing well, 3 wins in 4 super league games, took a while to get going, would imagine we must be favourites of the 3 to stay up but until it's mathamatically done we will keep slogging away....Ya Id imagine Yere happy with that draw, can't see them been able to stop giggsy/heffo

Do killala still have a team? Conn Rangers b should be too good for them I'd say

Yes we have a big 2 weeks coming up, QF of the Premier cup against Conn Rangers B on Sunday at 12 noon, it should be a good test for the cup final the following Sunday against Westport B. Always a tough test against even there B team in Drumrevagh.

Season coming to an end... Westport in the driving seat Ballina just about staying at arms length with some tight wins over the last few weeks... Snf and Charlestown both relegated...

After the great start, cup final heartache, we are in another relegation dogfight. we are plagued with injuries, suspensions, young fellas going to college. Not helped with anyone playing Moy Villa are pretty guaranteed 3 points.

It was, there first win of the season, hopefully it will give them confidence and take points off Knoc/Kilt and Castlebar Celtic B in the league.
