Why can't it be like this every day? Superb performance from many, many players. Drogs were probably not that interested. A match report (http://www.longfordtownfc.com/reports04/plhm_drogs2_report.htm) can be found here.

Town end in style

Longford Town ended their season in emphatic fashion and climbed to sixth place in the process with a 3-1 win over Drogheda United at Flancare Park.
The final domestic fixture of the season was dominated by the two men who stole the show in the FAI Cup final. Eric Lavine won man-of-the-man in that game and tonight he opened the scoring after just seven minutes, converting from Alan Kirby's (another cup final hero) corner.

irishfootballonline.com is a top class site and deserves more recognition, they have reports of all games up within hours and they're usually good ones, eleven-a-side reproduce paper copy but that site looks like it made an effort..town73 I feel a link is justfied on our site if no other..Oh and by the way good performance from the boys could have been six and the end of season celebrations went off very well, the fireworks were class.

Who is that chick on Eric's left in the photograph ?

I'd say Eric had more than his two eyes on that wan!
Good win by all accounts last night. 6th is a respectable finish i suppose.
At least we've finished above Judas' Derry! :p
High hopes for next season.

It will be included in the proposed revamp of the site for next season (which I hope will go ahead). If I can sort out internet access at Flancare, I'll be able to do live updates next season - if there's sufficient interest.
