Flancare has a problem with drainage, water stays on top and doesnt soak down quickly enough, something to do with the top soil, it'll be fine after a few dry hours but it just wont drain quickly enough, the Drogs semi would have been called off if it wasn't on TV anyway

The diggers are due to move in this week to start on the drainage problem to have it ready for next season.

Longford Town's final home game against Drogheda United has fallen foul to the weather as a water-logged Flancar Park pitch has meant that the game was called off by match referee Alan Kelly. The match has now been re-fixed for Monday night, November 22, with a kick-off time of 7.45pm. Longford will parade their FAI Cup and League Cup trophies following the final whistle.
