We live in a climate of cutbacks and hardship.

Of the 27 individual club forums, only 6 can even be described as 'active' and that's being kind. Would it not make more sense to instead have individual club threads in the main league forum?

My argument behind this revolves around the view counts, the footfall is just far greater in the league forum and that alone will ensure greater opportunity for discussion from outsiders who maybe normally might not be wandering into the individual club forums.

I'm mainly just looking for ways of increasing activity as there's clearly an iopportunity here given this is the premier LOI forum. Most individual club forums are on their arse as it is. This is our time to step in and shine.

Thoughts?

The problem is one of population, not the existence of the forums. Those clubs just don't have the fans on Foot.ie, and what ones we have will have an absolute canary if we remove their forum, despite the fact that they don't use it. The way to get a discussion going is to start a discussion, and we can't force them to do that. TBH I don't care where they start it, and I don't care if it's a megathread rather that split discussions.
