I've started a blog. Few bits on it so far; Mick O'Brien breaking a cross bar, Cork City's plans for Bishopstown and the Famous Fried Chicken league.

Send on anything you think fits. It won't be about results etc

Interesting to see the relative value of £19000 in 1984 to now re Pat Grace's prize money.

The old foot thread you linked makes for interesting reading. finnpark might have had a future as a fortune teller judging by his prophicising.

What a quality thread that is indeed! The sheer naivety of Bohs fans, and everyone else too, was just incredible. Celtic Tiger indeed.

In fairness there were very few people who saw the crash coming, although there's a fair few who'll say they did now.

"the FAI have not elaborated on any of these issues at all, which is a total fooking joke. We're just three months from the end of this season and haven't a clue about many vital issues affecting next season- when the whole idea is to induce proper planning and governance. How the hell can clubs plan when they don't know what is going on? "

Something familiar about this refrain.

Amazing to think back, just a few short years, to the property prices etc of the Celtic Tiger era

One thing Dodge, what was the original source for the 1970 map?

This month's When Saturday Comes magazine ( April 2015 ) has an article on the League of Ireland 1921-1922 season in their ' Season in brief ' section.
