Roche interview: http://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/vuelta-and-ardennes-classics-on-roche-hit-list-wants-to-win-with-sky/
Bennett: http://www.stickybottle.com/coaching/my-training-week-pro-sprinter-sam-bennett-training-twice-per-day/
As always, it's going to be an interesting year. Some of the power numbers from Bennett in training were huge, it'll be interesting to see if he can compete with the biggest sprinters this year.
Piece on Martin. http://cyclingtips.com.au/2015/01/dan-martin-embracing-the-mantle-of-team-leader-with-new-cannondale-garmin-squad/
Bora - Argon 18 (formerly Netapp Endura) have been given a wildcard to the Tour de France. This along with the departure of a few of their main GC guys makes it likely Bennett can participate as long as he shows enough form.

From all I read (admittedly irish slanted...) it seems Bennett will be a team leader this year (after Keonig left for Sky)
I'd guess that Ireland will have at least 3 in the tour this year
Good news for Matt Brammeier as he secures two-year deal with MTN-Qhubeka (http://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/over-the-moon-brammeier-secures-two-year-deal-with-mtn-qhubeka/)
Could potentially do the Tour as well as they've a wildcard!

More good news!
Nice piece on Ryan Mullen: http://rouleur.cc/journal/riders/ryan-mullen-learns-pro-bike-riders-trade
Massive win for Bennett in Qatar- beat serious class in this sprint: http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/tour-of-qatar-2015/stage-6/results
Edit: Video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM4YU_EKCgg
It was well after before the commentators mentioned him name- although in fairness with so many black kits this year it's a nightmare for them.
Bennett was confirmed for Bora's TOur team, if that means anything this early in the year: http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/racing/tour-de-france/irish-sprinter-sam-bennett-gets-green-light-for-tour-de-france-158357
Brameier was prominent today at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, getting in the break and being among the last caught.
Stunning win from Stannard. Feck I love the classics.
Edit: Last 5k

Would love to be at the Amstel Gold in April. Was on the Vaalserberg again last November, an amazing spot to watch a race (1-day).
Looks like a good year for Irish cycling, even if the sport is in a bit of a mess.
Roche is down to ride Paris Nice with Sky. Deignan is listed as a reserve. If he doesn't make Paris-Nice, Deignan will ride the Tour of Langkawi
Sam Bennett and Dan Martin are down for Tirreno-Adriatico

Sam Bennett rides Milan San Remo this weekend
Roche and Martin (a former winner) are down to ride Catalunya. Should pick up Ireland's first ranking points there
Bennett & Brammeier down for Gent - Wevelgem next week

His daily diary is in the Indo this week too.
Martin 3rd today and 4th overall currently.

Well done D Martin on getting 7 rankings points - at least we are up and running!
Sam Bennett wins stage 1 of Bayern Rundfahrt ahead of Nacer Bouhanni and John Degenkolb: http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/bayern-rundfahrt-2015/stage-1/results
He's now won 2 stages in a row in Bayern Rundfahrt after winning the final (5th) stage last year
3 from 4 now as he won again today!
4th yesterday.

Great win for Brammeier today.
No Roche or Deignan for the Tour De France :(
Edit: Sky played down the leak, and Froome tweeted a pic of him with Roche on TDF recon, so maybe it's ok.
Roche is in, Deignan isn't though.
Very nice piece with Bennett: http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/cycling/paul-kimmage-meet-sam-bennett-the-man-who-could-be-irelands-next-big-thing-31352175.html

It's been a pretty quiet Tour so far, apart from a couple of crashes, and Dan Martin's 2nd place. The drugs shadow continues to hang over the sport and it will be interesting if something more than cocaine turns up (as with Paolini). The banning of Sky's motorhome apparently has nothing to do with what they have inside, just that all riders should suffer the same, apparently. Having watched the Armstrong docu on Saturday morning.........

Irish cyclist slams into car
http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/cycling/video-emerges-of-irish-cyclist-matt-brammier-colliding-with-car-at-high-speed-in-utah-31444282.html
Mental crash- Brammeier has had some awful crashs down the years. Bennett back in action at the Artic Race in Norway. Not clear yet whether Martin and Roche will race the Vuelta.

Doesn't look like Roche has any chance of even being a protected rider even if he makes the team, as Froome and Thomas both look to be going. Hard to see the move to Sky as a forward step at the moment (career wise) - at least with Tinkoff he got some opportunities.
He was their main man at San Sebastian. But while he was in the front group didn't make top ten. But yeah.. although on the other hand the extra money from LeTour must have been nice.
Super win for Bennett in Norway. Some surge from a bad position. http://www.stickybottle.com/races-results/video-bennetts-finishing-speed-in-norway-has-to-be-seen-to-be-believed/

Roche going to Spain .......
He has also come second in the Vuelta in the past: http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/other-sports/nicolas-roche-on-team-sky-roster-for-vuelta-a-espana-1.2319753
Must have missed that one!
Martin going to the Vuelta also. Looks like he is joining Etixx next year which is interesting. Obviously they're a superb classics outfit- but how often will Martin be the main man? Not too worried as his class in the one day races is such that he'll be grand anyway.

Direct replacement for Kwiatkowski for Ardennes week I would've thought? Vaughters never gave him sole leadership anyway. If anything, he might have more freedom in Grand Tours, as he won't have a pretender like Talansky whinging in the background about having full team support.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6OTCdvy7fg He'll be racing with this guy?
Cav not confirmed for Etixx for next year.
Ryan Mullen to join Cannondale—Garmin. Serious potential there and a good move for him. http://cyclingtips.com.au/2015/08/patrick-bevin-and-ryan-mullen-sign-contracts-with-cannondale-garmin/

Except for the 1st road stage of then.... Great performance from both Nico and Dan. Dan's timing has been a bit of a balls this year so - been strong (and in some cases strongest and fastest), but in the wrong position or left it too late. Plenty more opportunities left though!
And what's weird about that is he's usually the best tactician in the peleton for finishes like that.
Roche should be in the combo jersey today
Dan Martin confirmed with Etixx... http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/dan-martin-signs-for-etixx-quickstep/
I think it'll be a good move for him.
yeah, happy to see him move from Garmin just to shake it up for himself. I do like them as a team though and hopefully Mullen can do well there. They've picked up Rolland and Uran so that's 2 GC lads for them
Delighted he won't have to wear that fugly poc helmet as well!
Roche has been excellent so far but the big stage today could spell the end of his challenge following his two crashes. Martin crashed out again.. he has had a very bad year for staying on the bike.
Edit: Adding video of Roche win:

Sam Bennett has won Paris-Bourges. Will post video when/if I find it.
Had a good gap anyway:
