The more I think about it, the more obvious it is.

Barry Ferguson.

Probably has played more games than anyone else (exp. maybe Digger) at a consistantly high standard.

One of the most coveted CB's in the business. Maybe hasn't scored much but some of his performances have been top drawer and there is no point in scoring if your conceeding the other end. He organises that line and is always barking out the orders. He's a real captain fantastic.

Think Sean Prunty has to be in with a shout. Most consistent player. Can't remember a bad game and was man of the match more times than any other player.

certainly is in with a shout but in my opinion, Prunty has had his most consistant season but hasn't been the most consistant player in the season. At the same time he is not a player of Fergusons ability and all Ferguson has to do this year was increase his displine and his consistancy. Stands tall when needed, has been head and shoulders above everyone. Lots don't like him and give out about him, he doesn't do anything spectacular and that will lose him the award of POTY, probably in lieu of Prunts, deserved as it maybe. But you got to look at his influence and the overall picture.

Any chance of a poll? I would suggest:
Barry Ferguson.
Sean Prunty.
Stephen O'Brien (he could win it every year, BTW).
Dessie Baker (14 goals in all comps).
Sean Dillon (should be in U21 squad, five goals, some crucial ones).

I was undecided between Sean Prunty and Sean Dillon until last night. After the exibition Dillo but on he gets my nod. His performances throughout the year across the back line of the defence has been top drawer. His goals in the cup run were crucial to the cup success, while he stepped into the breach to deputise for Barry Ferguson in the cup final and gave a tremendous pereformance. How there are not First Division clubs in England queuing up outside Flancare waving cheque books to take him away I find incredible.
(Hope they don't by the way). :)

isn't it mad there are only four players up for consideration considering we won a double.

not really, those 4 were consistant all season, all defenceive players mainly and all helped keep the goals against down, if we can just socre a few more i think we can take the next step, 0h and keep the players we have.....

the next step being euro qualify through the league
