Yes. I have no words to describe how bad the other one is.

Dundalk's the nicest new kit. Bohs is good. Pats is OK. Sligo's is awful with the different reds on it. Cork's is yucky. Rovers is OK IMO

I've generally liked the purple shirts but this one is woejus. If the Pepper logo wasn't there it'd be OK - generally think it's an ugly sponsor.

I actually don't think the Shamrock Rovers one is too bad.

Bohs' shirt is quality, easily the best of the new jerseys I've seen to date, though I've a soft spot for Hummel's gear. what colour have Cork gone with for their home shirt this year? The away is terrible, but exactly the kind of second rate crap I'd expect from Nike.

You'd hope Cork have gone with the dark green - always looks better than the light green for me.

Cork's one is awful and not help by the ugliest logo on LOI shirts.

We've only released the away one which is red. It's, eh......different. The logo will never look good. The jersey would be better if the logo was smaller. I'll buy it anyway.

Not easy on the eye, but we have always had some wacky kits over the years. The "pyjamas" comes to mind

I'm not too sure about Harps. Should know better after fans forum tonight I'd imagine. Heard rumours we're changing as the club weren't happy with Macron though.

EDIT:

Harps are changing kit supplier. No indication who it is yet, but club are talking to kit supplier.

The best thing about the City jersey is the logo.

Bohs Hummel kit is a very classy effort. Hummel never fails. Quite envious.

Cork City's Nike effort is horrific. Years old template and what's with the black shorts?

Umbro kits definitely not up to scratch this year, Derry's and Sligo's kit nearly identical.

Yeah the new kit seems to very well received over Delanymount way.

In the end, once it's not completely off the wall, it doesn't really matter what the jersey is like.
If the Shams/Bohs/Longford kit was the nicest ever in the history of the whole world, I'm still not buying it.

However horrific people feel our new away is (not to my taste either), it's flying out.
black shorts? it'll be red, red and red me thinks. Marky has a tracksuit end on in that picture.

So go out in the cheapest material possible so?

Design counts. Maybe not to you and hardcore supporters but there are loads of floating fans who may/may not pick up an item of merchandise based on how it looks. It's ridiculous to think otherwise

Now plenty in Cork may like the design, but that's just a matter of taste. No jersey will ever have 100% approval

Shelbourne had an identical kit to that a year or two ago and Harps had a third grey kit the same design two years ago. Macron seem to churn out the same old designs all the time. Got very dull, very quick.

Longfordian
19/12/2014, 4:21 PM
Yeah I assume they've a very limited range of templates. Still we've never had that colour or design before so something new for us.

Defo very similar to previous Shels kits! Nice but for a 2nd kit its very dark, will you have a 3rd kit? Cant see Buttimer allowing that against the likes of bohs! 2 darks jerseys!

Longfordian
19/12/2014, 8:20 PM
I'd imagine we'll hold onto this year's yellow away kit for such occasions. No change in sponsor or manufacturer so no reason why not.

De Town
19/12/2014, 8:25 PM
Yeah our full yellow kit that was our away jersey this season has been moved to our 3rd jersey for next season. Think the away jersey was meant to be more royal blue than navy blue.

Shels U19s were wearing a version of that on Sunday and I mentioned that it was a very nice shirt at the time.

Not the cheapest but what we think will sell.
As you said you'll never get 100% but once it sells out, we can't complain.

As for floaters, I think some of our current away have been bought by them as a lot of our hardcore seem to be waiting for the home one in February, sold out with another delivery early next week.

Along with Bohs, I think Bray have the nicest kits available across the league so far.
