But we don't really know if the jungle could survive under the reign of Roy Keane.
The Manchester United legend, known for his argumentative attitude, has confessed that he was approached to join the ITV reality show.
When asked by Shortlist magazine whether he would get into acting like fellow ex-footballers Eric Cantona and Vinnie Jones, the 43-year-old said: "Well, I couldn't see it, but I am more open to stuff now.
"I’ve had the Celebrity Big Brother offers and the jungle stuff [I’m A Celebrity…]."
The Irish star, who is currently assistant manager of the national team, even revealed that he met with ITV bosses to discuss heading down under.
But those already signed up to the show can breathe a sigh of relief, because they won't be seeing Roy in the campsite - well, this series at least.
He continued: "I met the jungle people, but I thought, 'Nah, not for me.' But the more you say no, the more determined they are to get you, so who knows?"
As I understand it he won't be doing it.
I created a separate thread as it is not really about football but I am fine if the mods want to move it into
his thread.
I just thought if he did do it it might be a good idea to keep it separate from the football stuff, plus it is
a good title
