Santa is a proponent of obesity and should be banned!
I sold my soul to santa, I thought he had the best music, but that was when I was popping dyslexic pills....
btw Poll added.

I prefer the buildup over here in the US where it doesnt really start until after Thanksgiving, the last Thursday in November. Over there it starts way too early and by the time December comes you're sick of it already.

happy christmas boys! lets make the festive joy last longer!
Santa is great.
Christmas is great.
The build up starts in early November every year and every year people say the same thing, "it's too early", "it's getting earlier every year", "it's ruining christmas" etc etc.
However it's early December before the real build up starts. That's when people start putting up their christmans trees and you start to hear christmas songs everywhere.
This time next month, we will all hopefully be filled with festive cheer instead of this moaning crap!

xmas, halloween, easter etc etc. all a load of shíte. they're religious festivals which have been hijacked by the insane money driven consumer side of society. personally the lot of them drive me spare.

Santa has a large sack and hangs around little kids. IMO he should be locked up.

Well said!! Christmas is a time for having a laugh, being with friends and family. Not for moaning about the "build up being too early", or that "its all too commercial"! Christmas is a great time, and personally i think most people get so freaked out around about now, because they realise how quick it all comes round. Working by oxford street, this is a great time of year. The lights, the atmosphere, its great! everyone should loosen up and enjoy it in my opinion, cos its all over soon enough! :)

ah but thats just your age!! Everyone in the west end?? by that you mean tourists, and we all hate them. Everyone is usually wasted, especially round this time of year, so we are all in a great mood! christmas means more lunches/work dos/xmas parties/client entertaining!! The west end is buzzing, and mr o'banton for your info, the oxford st lights are not up yet. the regent st ones are, and they look ok!

I don't believe that they will look any good. They haven't since I can remember them, West End full of miserable shoppers and unhappy shop workers -stop being so optimistic and join the dark side.

Sure that's just southerners - have you never seen Eastenders? :D

Spending my time in between Laaaanddan and Manc I'm pleased to report that the miserable faces are at about the same levels in both cities (apart from four or five very happy cockneys in O' Shea's on Saturday afternoon post Norf Landan derby :D )
