A hard fought win for Killester with 3 2nd half goals finally killing off a decent Swords Celtic team.Their 2 strikers Micka Keogh and David Lacey shared the 3 goals and they were the difference on the day.Killester now travel to St Marys or Malahide for a place in the 1/4 finals!

Avondale 1 Corinthians 1. Half time. Great goal by Roy Long to put Dale 1 up. Corinthians came into game with 15 to go to break and scored from pen on stroke of half time. Ball possibly out of play for throw ball before pen. Cant understand why Dale only appealled for it when penalty was given.

It shouldn't be about having to appeal for things, the officials at this level should be competent enough without having to intimidate them for a decision. As well as that the ref was extremely poor throughout, he turned down a Dale pen at 1-0 that would have finished the game then gave Cors 2 penalties, super save from Podge to keep the second one out.

All three Dale goals were outstanding especially the move for the second.

Im not saying the appeal would have changed anything but they were happy to get on with the game until the penalty was given. Maybe now people will get what I have been saying about that official for a long time. Good win anyway for Dale.
