Some win for streamstown over Peake. They have beaten two decent sides in cullen and Peake villa in last 2 rounds. Hard to see beyond town and michaels to win there 2 ties this weekend

Serious win for Streamstown and they also beat Cloughjordan a premier team up here in the other round, their flying it at the moment and will be a tough draw for anyone in the next round. Hard to look past Town and Michaels in the other 2 alright.

I'm again compiling the full FAIJC record this year, and finding a serious lack of scores almost everywhere. Outcomes are OK (except for a very few cases). Any additions or corrections gratefully received, as usual!

The next round will be open draw, so this is as good a time as any to post the story to date. It's here (http://www.braywanderers.com/showarticle.php?id=695) - and not public yet, so don't blow my cover! I'll wait to see if there's any additional info forthcoming, and publish with the 5th Round Draw.

5th round draw will be on Fai.ie website from 7 this evening.

going by past seasons that means the draw must've been done weeks ago. It normally takes the FAI an age to post Junior Cup info

Not to sure if it has being done or not but the Clare league had on there twitter feed yesterday that the draw be done @ 6 and on the site for 7.

There is a few saying it is done already but we will wait and see. A joke that we all have to wait like this for the draw of a national competition that we all pay a fee to enter.

Some big teams gone here in Dublin already only 2 Aul Prem A sides will go through to open round winners of Syc and collinstown and Donnycarney. Not too long ago they had 8 teams in the last 16 if memory serves me right

Boyle Celtic are the reigning Sligo/Leitrim Super League champions and are a decent side, they beat Castlebar Celtic away in the last round.

Muirhevnamor is a social housing development on the outskirts of Dundalk, built in the 1970s and early 1980s to facilitate an increase in population, many of whom were refugees from the conflict in the North.

Muirhevna Mor FC dates from about the same time, and has been a relatively successful team in the Meath & District league. For example, this year they won the McConville Cup for an eighth successive time.

correct we are a round behind to the untimely death of a ref in tragic circumstances. Waterford clubs are due to play Munster Junior The 14th of Dec, so possible 5th rd ties on the 21st or the new year.

I was more wondering which teams play on Saturdays rather than Sundays.

Trying to arrange a trip to a sporting event in Dublin on Saturday 6th.

Clondalkin Celtic are probably a Saturday team, what about Wayside Celtic? Or Drumcondra/EID?

I guess I'll check on the week of the game...

Otherwise I might have to go to an AIL rugby match!!!

From Junior Soccer Portal:

The draw for the fifth round of the FAI Junior Cup has already been made but before those fixtures take place next month the tie of the fourth round involving two of the best teams in the country will be played out on Friday night at Clontarf Road.

Sheriff YC and Collinstown FC were both semi-finalists in last season’s competition and are both still unbeaten in all competitions this season. This tie is the biggest in the country this weekend and a massive crowd is expected to pack into the Clontarf Road cage. While most of the neutrals find this one too hard to call, the bookies are favoring experience and put two time recent champions Sheriff in as 8/13 favorites while Collinstown are enticingly priced at 3/1.Here in the JSP office we have had plenty of debate on how the game will pan out with words such as experience, passion, desire, skill and class heavily being banded about. It really is a difficult one to call. There are those who say that the experience and class of Sheriff will see them through while others point out that Collinstown are a team on the up and have been in top form for well over a year now, only losing out on a final spot in last season’s competition to penalty kicks against Ballynanty Rovers. We are not going to predict the outcome of the game but we will give an outlive of the three key battles on the pitch that may have a huge bearing on the game. We can’t wait for it! Can you?
Between the sticks: Lee Murphy Vs Ross Costigan “Make no mistake about it, having Lee Murphy back at Sheriff is worth a few points to them at the end of the season.” That was a quote from a spectator at Murphy’s first game back in the green and white hoops after his return from Bohemians. Murphy can also be the difference between exiting the competition or progression to the fifth out. Difficult to pick out a better goalkeeper in the amatuer game and when on his game he can be unbeatable. Just ask any Kilbarrack fan about that!Murphy’s opposite number Ross Costigan may not be as well known as Murphy but those who have seen him in action will know how good he is. Costigan was outstanding in Collinstown’s victories over both Mervue Utd and NUI Galway last season and has worked his way onto the AUL Oscar Traynor panel this season. A player for the big occasion, this could be his time to outshine one of the best around. In the engine room: Darren Dunne Vs Dylan ClarkeDarren Dunne is the perfect example of a box to box midfielder and boasts a superb range of passing. Probably the best amateur midfielder in the country at present is also a massive threat from set pieces. His ability to unlock a defence with a precision pass could be the difference come Friday night.Dylan Clarke has been immense for Collinstown over the past year. The youngster is top class with the ball at his feet and can find a killer pass when required. Clarke, at just 19 years old has a superb engine and has proven in big games over the past year that he is mature beyond his years on the pitch. Going up against one of the best players in the country in Dunne gives Clarke the opportunity to show his class. The Strikers: John Rock Vs Anto McCormackJohn Rock! It is actually difficult to put into words how good a player John Rock can be when he is on form. Holds the ball up superbly, links masterfully with the midfield and is the best finisher in the box currently plying his trade in the Premier A. Deserved his call us to the international set up this season. If he gets opportunities in the box you would put your house on him to score!Up the other end and Collinstown have the proverbial ‘silver’ fox in the box. Anto McCormack has bags of skill, a turn of pace and is prone to scoring a few crackers. He is sure to cause the Sheriff defence problems all night and it would be no surprise if he grabs a winner.

Saint Michaels probably worthy favourites again and a decent price too.Bit of luck in the draw and they will be knocking on the door again as will Sherrif and probably Pike. Its all about the draw though.Probably only 3 or maybe 4 teams realistically who will win it.Sherrif in AUL.ST Micks in TSDL.Pike in LDL and prob Mervue in Galway. Then again not many thought Ballynanty would reach final last year.Home draws mean a lot.

I played with Greenhills as a schoolboy, 30 odd years ago.(not much help to you).
back then they were two separate clubs, dunno when they merged. The used to have an intermediate side, but not sure if thats still the case.
